  1. We've got a few in at the moment, the first being 23rd May, so it's a case of hoping for the best.
  2. Definitely my best purchase of 2020, lockdown and youtube inspired. Hopefully one day I'll be able to upgrade to the masterbuilt version...
  3. I ordered a 3/4 scale guitar from Thomann on 08/12. It sat with DHL for a week, before it was returned to Thomann, for whatever reason. They re-sent it via UPS 17/12 and it arrived 19/12, so they are trying to get stuff shipped. I think some of the couriers fly freight in, as opposed to driving it over.
  4. There's Pete Cornish as well: http://www.petecornish.co.uk/index2.html Far from cheap, but built like tanks.
  5. It's back at Thomann apparently 😔
  6. I've ordered a 3/4 electric, for the youngest child from there. It was due to be delivered by DHL, the tracking showed it as leaving the shipper on Friday, to one hub in Germany on Saturday, then on to another hub today and it's now showing as being returned to the sender...
  7. We had a studio session yesterday, recording for a stream to go out in the New Year, which is the closest thing we've got to a gig. I thought I'd bring out the big rig for it...
  8. Fortunately for us, this wasn't on a limiter, as there's no way we could have taken the risk with the power dropping out and resetting the router and the desk. I logged the data for the first set and saved it so we could show that we ran at an average of 85, in case there was any issue, but the venue were happy with what we did. The limit, as far as I'm aware, has only been applied as a temporary measure, to make sure they can comply with the current requirements.
  9. Yep, you may have a problem with that. Our 7 piece band has been offered the venue as well and we think we may struggle a little bit
  10. It was actually quite civilised, I think I'm going to petition for all future gigs to be at that volume 😂 The gig before this one though, took place at a drive-in cinema, where we patched the audio feed into the site transmission system. Unless you were in your car, you couldn't hear anything apart from some un-amplified vocal and the small guitar amp, quite a strange experience.
  11. A gig tonight for the band I do tech stuff for. All punters seated, table service only, masks when not seated and a noise limit of 85db.
  12. If you all wear gym gear, you'll be fine...
  13. Put one in the last place you'd look, that way you'll be sure to find it.
  14. The flu and covid figures are still recorded separately, it's the report itself which is combined.
  15. I think what everyone's forgetting, is that Roger Daltrey said it would be ok, so there's nothing to worry about...
  16. I've found the biggest problem (for me at least) is that it wants to do things in its own way, rather than the way I've done in the past. If the op hasn't used any workstation before though, I'm not sure it would be any harder to learn than any other system.
  17. Yet another Reaper vote here. Our slide guitar player was a bbc sound engineer and he rates it highly, after having used it at work.
  18. I tech'd at a socially distanced drive-in movie support gig on Friday and Saturday. The audience were all in their own cars and there was minimal PA support. Very strange experience, but great to be out again.
  19. Have you looked at an irig? I've not used the guitar version, but the irig-pre works great with my android galaxy.
  20. I'm pretty certain it's under enhanced rules, but it looks like venues can be open. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/blackburn-with-darwen-oldham-pendle-local-restrictions
  21. I'm actually not sure about this now. It looks as though the maximum group size is limited, but not the total number of people in an area.
  22. Looks as though gigs are off again. BBC News - Coronavirus: Social gatherings above six banned in England from 14 September https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-54081131 😔
