Chris and I were talking last Wednesday. He was saying that the body and neck were going off to have the body and headstock sprayed in Fiat "Smooth Mint". I'm popping through to see him on Monday 2nd November.

3 strings were okay for Tony Levin. I saw him play this bass on Peter Gabriel's "Us" tour. It's a shame that it was lost in the barn fire at Tony's home. I went for the Fender Pure Vintage 64 pickups as I fitted the 74 set into my white dot & bound Jazz. They sound really good, do I decided to use a tried and tested set for the fretless bass. As for the scratchplate, Chris will have to cut a 5mm thick template to send to the USA. The pickguard will then be made to our spec.

Hooray! The custom wired Nordstrand 3 band preamp has arrived. Was like watching a mental patient rant inside a large microwave oven / breville toasted sandwich maker. Shouty nursery rhymes over samples of tunes other people have created. Over - hyped nonsense in my opinion.
