1. Ask him what the "shake the house" effects are that he uses during the set - sounded mega!!!!
2. I tried to get tickets forThe Hydro in Glasgow, but it was a non starter - "tickets not available" after only a few minutes.
3. Well, last night I saw the band in Glasgow. I was right at the front, centre stage. I spent the whole gig grinning from ear to ear as it was just so goid - and so much FUN!!!! I'm now 50 and that was the best live music experience I've ever had. Inspirational stuff - and only £15 for the ticket! There was a young girl in her 20s beside me (a bassist - good choice young lady!). She was accompanied by her mother, who said she "knew nothing about music". After the set, her mother turned to me and ssid, "well, that was the best £15 I've ever spent. Thst was amazing"!! I have to agree with her. 4. Thanks matey - I'm really happy with the bass. Plays and siunds great.
5. I installed the retro caps and resistors as per the original wiring I played the bass in this format for a week or so. You know how Jaco Pastorius always said he replaced his original stack knob layout with a three knib layout because the original "lacked punch"? Well, I now know what he meant. The original wiring with the linked resistors gives a lovely round tone, but the output is noticeably lower than on a "modern" wiring layout. Also, the original style wiring means that turning down the volume on either pickup retains the round bassy sound - you can't get the classic Jazz Bass "honk". So, I rewired the controls.Ii kept thepaper in oil caps, but used the wiring format used on the current Fender USA Reissue '62 Jazz Bass. I now have full pickup "throaty" output, and can get the "honk" when slightly rolling back the volume on either pickup. I'm a happy boy.

8. The shrieking of nothing is killing, Just pictures of Jap girls in synthesis, and I...........
9. The dvd is really well done - fantastic live footage interspersed with interviews and touring clips.
10. I'm playing this for the first time, and it's sounding and looking fantastic. Anyone else received a copy?
11. Are the items just priced individually? Or is everything available as a job lot sale? The band I'm working with now needs to get a system for gigging.
12. I've received my tickets for the Glasgow gig on May 1st. Has anyone else booked tickets for any of the UK dates?
13. Years agoi played with a band where I'd use tge following basses during the set: 5 string bass (Sei Bass or Fender) Fretless bass Hofner "Beatle" bass Chapman Stick Double Bass The instruments sounded great for their respective tunes, and changing over wasn't too much hassle. The biggest problem was the physical space required to store them, and also the room needed to transport them.
14. Tall glass of Hendricks gin with cucumber, and chilling to the likes of this: William DeVaughan - "Be Thankful For What You've Got" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pvtlt-p7vB4&feature=youtube_gdata_player
15. I had the same problem on a Fender 5 string Jazz about15 years ago. I drilled a hole in a plectrum, and then trimmed it using a pair of scissors to get the round shape. 15 years on and its still intact, and the tuner works perfectly.
16. I got the Ashdown Lomenzo Hyperdrive for Christmas, and it's really good.
17. Stevie Wonder's 'Sir Duke" is a good one. The horn unison line spans the whole range of the neck. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3t_qYwH3XMY&feature=youtube_gdata_player
18. Cool! I need as much mojo as life can muster! Hahaha. The strings are great, I've used the 4 string sets before and they sounded huge.
19. These are the strings that are available via Amazon for £20.95 including delivery, yeah?
20. Glittering Prize had Derek on bass - using his P-Bass
21. I'm currently watching it with my 11 year old son. Michael Jackson just performed with The Jacksons my son Jonathan just said, "woah, is that Michael Jackson?". Yes son, thats him. "Dad, how come he's got fake tan on"???
22. I've been playing gor over 35 years and this is the first time I've experienced anything like this.
