They were a global phonomemon and as such much of their time was taken up travelling to gigs, and undertaking endless interviews. Their output was as a result of the chemistry which happens when certain individuals interact. Saying "I could do equally as good as them if I was on the same studio / place / surrounded by the same people" is a rather delusional comment.
