1. Andy - I replied to your PM, hope to speak to you soon.
2. I contacted Jeff Krause at the Fender Custom Shop and he was kind enough to sende the original spec sheet for the bass. The colour was custom requested - "chocolate 3TSB" Here's a link to the sheet: https://rcpt.yousendit.com/1510090865/2ce8f659adf9bf2d65f714cb78a66985
3. The "footswitch" is merely the stomp button on the face of the unit. Both the "effect" and "distortion" buttons work fine.
4. I sold a shell pink Nordy VJ5 to a guy in Belgium. I sent it via Interparcel - have a look at their website for a sample quote matey www.Interparcel.com
5. Great pedal - 3 band EQ and footswitchable overdrive and DI unit in one! The battery cover on the bottom is gone - the locking latch broke on it (apparently it's a common problem with these units). I was using it powered by a standard 9v PSU, but I guess you could get a replacement cover off eBay? Anyhow, that's the reason for the super knock down price - £60 delivered to you in the UK. 8. Well, it's taking shape - and, I've gone for the "bent looking" pink finger rest!!!

16. Well, timesaree hard here in Chez Lindsay, so I'm having to look at moving some of my bass gear. Here's my gorgeous Fender Custom Shop NOS 1961 stack knob Jazz Bass. It is, without doubt, the best Fender Jazz I've ever had the good fortune to play. The neck is quartersawn maple with a finely grained rosewood fingerboard. The neck has the usual narrow nut width, but is slight thicker in depth as you head up the fingerboard. Nothing drastic, just enough to feel a little bit more did than on the standard USA Jazz Basses. The quartersawn maple gives the neck a really solid feel and sounds fantastic - no dead spots anywhere. The pickups are nice and open sounding. The bass comes in the tan case with all the Fender Custom Shop tags and a certificate. £1,500 delivered in the UK
17. Looks like your guitarist us experiencing the same situation I found myself in?
18. I've never boiled my strings or cleaned them with meths or the like. Maybe I have gentle sweat or something? I need to change my strings around once a year, they've started to lose the top end "zing" by that stage. If I've been gigging really hard I might need to change them a few months earlier. In fact, I sold a bass on here with 3 month old strings on there and the buyer emailed me thanking me for putting on a new set of strings on the bass before sending it to him!!
19. Anthony don't slap!!!
20. Sold! That was quick!!
21. Brian may was actually one of the first guys on stage. He played with the Crickets - using a sunburst 50's style Strat!! But, that never made it to the DVD release). On the night David Gilmour and Gary Moore were the standout acts in terms of live sound
22. Okay, so it's mainly a guitar based effect, but it's really an amazing sounding piece if kit. Typical Kev condition - totally unmarked. In "as new" condition. £150 delivered in the UK Here's a link to the unit's spec: http://www.sweetsound.com/mojovibe.htm
23. I've also bought quite a few items from Thomann and have always been impressed by their service
