1. I endured around 2 minutes of it - couldn't listen to any more. Bloody awful!
2. The pink bass was a Nordy old style P-Bass made for me by Carey Nordstrand. It's now owned by a guy in Sweden or Finland or thereabouts.
3. I use my '74 Jazz bass when gigging. Well, I did until Paul Turner borrowed it, I'm still trying to prise it back out of his hands! Hahaha
4.
That doesn't appear to be a musicman neck on Pino's bass...
It's a Moses Graphite neck he had fitted while getting the fingerboard replaced on his Musicman neck
5.
I actually am strongly thinking about trying to get an American Re-Issue 62-64 J-Bass in either Shell Pink or Sea Foam/Surf Green.
I love both Shell Pink and Surf Green too! I refinished a Fender USA '62 reissue Jazz Bass in Shell Pink (which I sold a few weeks ago to Haimesy in Edinburgh). I'm currently working on a Surf Green '62 reissue with matching headstock, and also a '54 style P-Bass in Shell Pink. Here's a link to the thread I posted showing the '62 reissue Shell Pink refinish http://basschat.co.uk/topic/165861-fender-usa-62-jazz-bass-refinish-at-home/page__fromsearch__1
6.
Epifani...Epi-fah-nee,not epiphany.
Makes me think of female genitalia having a seizure!!!

8. Those barrel sockets are a total pain in the rear end when they pack in, you can't repair them, they simply have to be replaced. No fun if it happens right before a gig, it if you're out on the road.
9. No longer for sale - I've decided to keep it after using it on a recording session. Sounded good to the artist & engineer. So much so, that I've been offered more work - yippee!
10. Well, the Shell Pink is the colour I'm going for. The lacquers have been ordered today. Yippee!!
11. Hey TheGreek - you're a philistine my dear chap! Hahaha
12. I'm heading towards this
13. Fantastic! I'll be sure to grab myself a copy on Tuesday mate.
14. Okay, so I guess most of you will have seen the refinish posts I created for the Shell Pink USA '62 reissue Jazz Bass and the Eric Johnson Strat in Surf Green (here's a link http://basschat.co.uk/topic/165861-fender-usa-62-jazz-bass-refinish-at-home/page__fromsearch__1) So, my latest refinish is for a swamp ash bodied '56 P-Bass reissue. I'm thinking of doing it in Shell Pink as I saw another '56 in that colour and thought it was pretty cool. Anyone got any other suggestions for possible colour finishes I might be tempted by before I order the lacquers?
15. The bass will be hand delivered to Matt in about an hour or so. Thanks again Matt, hope you enjoy your new instrument. Kevin
16. Just not been buying on this forum mate - the Kev collection is still robust! Hahaha
17. Sold to Matt pending payment. Thanks mate! And to everyone else who were kind enough to contact me, thanks do much for the interest, you guys are great!!
18. Well, it's a gorgeous bass, but it's not really being used right now, so it's sitting at home when it should be being played!! I ordered this bass in Tobacco Sunburst to replicate the current look of Pino's faded out sunburst Stingray. Pino is also the reason I opted for the black scratchplate and 2band EQ. The bass comes with the Ernie Ball hardcase (as seen in the pic below). £700 delivered in the UK and this immaculate condition bass can be yours! Anyone interested? 19. I'm going to see Brit Floyd in Glasgow in May. You can see clips from their free DVD on YouTube. They're a class act!! You can get a free copy of Thr full length concert DVD via their website - it's great!!
20. The label says "Tatra by Rosetti. Stradivarius model". It's just a nice, decent sounding starter bass.
21. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that when Jimmy Moon repaired the head box, he also installed side dot markers on Thr fingerboard edge - helps us non double bass players get to grips with where we're supposed to be on the neck. 22. Here's pics showing the break repair - well out of the way of your fretting hand so it has no impact on the playability or sound of the instrument.
