  1. KiOgon P-Bass Loom: CTS premium pots 250K, split shafts.
Sprague 0.1uF caps (better than the orange drops apparently) for that vintage vibe, Motown/Jamerson velvet smooth bottom end.
Switchcraft jack socket, wired with vintage waxed cloth wire & simple solderless terminals.
Instructions, screwdriver, easy fit, sounds great.

This is barely used (I replaced the same spec loom but with solid shafts). The volume pot is slightly knurled due to me trying to fit an MIJ knob onto it, and consequently it is not as straight turning as the tone pot. It is a tiny difference and hardly noticeable in use, but there you go.
Please note these are split shaft pots 5.9 - 6mm

Cost £29.40 new, selling for £19 inc post.

Why would you buy a short-scale strat when you could go for a Jaguar....the coolest guitar ever made ?

    :)

I actually never realised these had 24" scale till you mentioned it!
I may well give one a go, although I don't really want a trem.

I've been playing a Squire Mini around the house which I think is about 23.5" scale. I really like it, but it's a bit on the small side generally.

  3. I think these came out last year, 24" scale, I have a rising GAS for one... might head down to Guitar Guitar tomorrow...

The Plastic Bertrand song uses the backing track to this:

With a new vocal (which wasn't actually by Plastic Bertrand but by the producer of the original version).

Interesting, thanks. Interesting how the falsetto 'ooh ooh ooh' in the cover version gives it the jump-out pop hook.

Toy Dolls. Their reading of Blue Suede Shoes is a minor epic, and its timing is glorious :D

    Excellent!

I was wondering about this, it certainly fits my novelty blurring definition in the original post. Even though the song makes me feel queezy.
