1. trouble is there is no standard terminology, so a Jazz can be 'thin' i.e. 38mm at the nut, but can be quite 'wide' i.e. front to back. whereas a geddy lee jazz is both thin at the nut and slim front to back, and some P's are wide (44 mm nut) but can be fairly thin front to back. there's a much more detailed thread on here somewhere about exactly this subject. i think you can only really get an idea from specs but in the end you have to pick it up 'in the flesh' as it were, and see if it's to your liking.
2. i think you're confused. the radius refers to the fretboard radius, not the back of the neck, and doesn't have anything to do with fatness or shallowness. so for example a 12" radius is flatter than a 9".
3. i cleared out an old flightcase this morning, so i'm ok now, sorry but i'll pass.
4. I'd play E E E E and use the other finger to beckon groupies closer.
5. i thought i could get away with a 3TSB maple neck precision, having already got a 3TSB maple neck jazz. I got found out...
6. Sold Paul some strings, very nice chap and great to deal with.

8. Bought an Avalon U5 from Marc, mint condition item and very nice guy to deal with. Thanks
9. These are brand new LaBella 760FS flats, unopened and unused. Standard Long Scale - to fit 34" scale basses price drop to £29.99! (posted)
10.
think you have misread my post you need to check the relief at the mid point between the first fret & the point where the neck joins the body, on most instruments this would be around the 7-9th fret
+1 i go for an almost dead straight neck with the tinniest bit of relief around the 7th fret. barely a thin business card (there must be something more generally available and of standardised width?!)
11. was this the bass that was up for £850 and got suddenly price dropped to £500?! i would have definitely bought it if i'd seen the price drop sooner
12. Talking about this in the pub tonight. Paul McCartney, Trevor Horn and Sting were our main ideas, then we got a bit stuck...
13. James Brown, 1970 lineup, main stage saturday night. Warm evening, no rain. Don't care who else is playing.

16.
Awwww, c'mon! ... Lose yourself to dance!!! http://www.youtube.c...0&v=Z_Sf0gi-mGI It's sooooooo good!
its definitely the second best track and is a lot better than anything else on it (apart from get lucky). i quite like the one where they repeat something in a robot voice that i've now forgotten, something about the dance floor? the thing is daft punk have suggested that this album cost well over a million dollars to make... a million dollars!! the head honcho at columbia must have had head in hands when he realised the highly anticipated 'gorgio moroder' track was basically an interview over a dull 'heard it all before' synth riff. aarrgh!
17. biggest disappointment of the year for me... i had really fallen for the hype on this and was genuinely excited rushing out to get it. Get Lucky is a really good song, but where are all the rest? this album is literally a one hit wonder.
18. "William" "Yes Mum?" "You've done so well in your A-Levels I've bought you a bass just like you've been asking for." "Wow! A Fender Precision?!!!" "Better than that..."
19. Just bought Tim's very nice MIJ P-Bass. Very nice chap, excellent bass player, and lives about 100 yards away! Even let me walk off with the bass on the promise I'd bank transfer the money over that evening. Thanks
