Hello All, I've just started to put on a new set of DR Sunbeams nickel round wound (45-105), only trouble is,they're [b]medium[/b] scale... Doh! These are literally brand new, just received, just opened, just too short! The E is untouched, but the G, D & A have been crimped and cut generously to length. They're boxed and still in the paper envelopes. These are fantastic strings and cost around £30, so [b]£20[/b] (including postage to UK mainland, elsewhere it's £20 plus postage). I just need to try and recover what I've spent. Cheers Freddy

Hello! I’m selling my 2006 Fender USA Deluxe Active Jazz Bass which is 3-tone sunburst with a rosewood fingerboard. The bass is in excellent condition with only slight ‘play wear’ to the body (a few light marks on front and rear with a small knock on the edge of the headstock and a few marks on the tuners where the chrome has ‘pitted’ slightly), as you would expect. I have recently bought a Fender tortoise shell pick-guard from the states (it still has the plastic film on it!), but will supply the original mint green/aged white one that came with the bass. It’s light! Weighing around 8.4 lbs, a joy on long sessions, and this is helped by great balance and Hipshot Ultralight tuners assure no neck dive. It also has a soft-heel (5-bolt) neck joint which is great for access to the top frets. The 22 fret rosewood neck is in excellent condition and I have very recently had the frets and nut dressed professionally. This is a classic jazz neck with a fairly flat profile (approx’ 10 inch radius) and has a really comfortable modern ‘C’ shape, which makes it great to play even with small hands like mine! The bass has also had a very recent pro set up with a really low action and it plays like butter, with no dead spots and great sustain. It also features a Posi-flex graphite-reinforced truss rod, which will be useful if you use super-heavy gauge strings. The bass comes with the original Fender molded case (in good condition), long ‘T-bar’ Allen key, other Allen keys and drop tags. I only bought it back in December but I have two Jazz basses already and I need a passive P-bass for the band I've just joined, so with regret, something has to go... This is a superb bass that sounds and plays like a dream. I’m asking £750 (ono) and just trying to get back what I've spent (Or) I would be very interested in a swap/trade for a light-weight precision bass (Fender US, sort of thing...). Thanks for looking.

Hello! I'm selling my 2002 Fender Deluxe (US) five string Jazz Bass (Montego Black/maple fretboard). The bass is in great condition with only 'play wear' to the body (a few light marks/scratches on front and rear), as you would expect for it's age. I have had a black scratchplate made, but will supply the original gold one that came with the bass. It's light! Weighing just over 9lbs, it's a joy on long sessions, and this is helped by great balance, light Fender/Hipshot tuners (lighter than Hipshot Ultralights) and no neck dive. It also has a soft-heel (5-bolt) neck joint which is great for access to the top frets. It features [i]Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder[/i] pickups (worth £140) and a [i]John East J-Retro 2[/i] pre-amp (worth £200). This bass sounds superb! One comment that was left when I saw the ad from the previous owner said that it had one of the best slap sounds that person had ever heard and I know what they mean, it's wicked! It's also very versatile, from dub-style 'boom' to nasally mids, punchy and with growl, but roll it back and there's loads of warmth, so both old-school and modern can be easily achieved. Full instructions for the pre-amp are included, but it's really straight forward and easy to use. Also, it's been fully copper- shielded so there is no noise or earthing related issues. The 22 fret maple neck is in excellent condition and I have recently had the frets dressed professionally. It has a fairly flat profile (approx' 10 inch radius) and has a really comfortable 'C' shape, which makes it great to play even with small hands like mine! The bass is set up really low and it plays like butter, with no dead spots and good sustain. The low B string tension is firm even with light gauge strings and doesn't have the 'dullness' problem that some five-strings seem to suffer from. It also features a Posiflex graphite-reinforced truss rod, which will be useful if you use super-heavy gauge strings. Nut width: 48mm String spacing at nut: 7/8mm String spacing at bridge: 17.5mm (adjustable due to grooved saddles) The bass comes with the original Fender moulded case (also in great condition), long 'T-bar' allen key, cloth and literature. I only bought it through Basschat back in March but, regrettably, I need the money ('Child forces sale'…). I'm asking £875 and I'm just trying to get back what I've spent. Badass bridge, anybody?

Hello, The bass has had a pro fret-dress and is set up really well (it plays like butter!), the action is very low and is currently strung with a light gauge Rotosound Swing Bass set. The Bartolini Pick-ups are excellent and combined with the active pre-amp provide a fantastic range of sounds from Funk to Metal. The mid-range cut switch is great if you play with a pick. The 24 fret 2-octave neck is a joy to play and one of the most comfortable five string necks around. It’s made of Jatoba and Bubinga which gives it a lot of strength, as well as being superb looking! With a neck width and string spacing that are slender, but not too narrow, and combined with a smooth satin-finished neck this is fast and the rounded neck heel makes the upper register within easy reach for those of us with smaller hands! It’s in great condition, with only one small mark on the front of the body above the neck pick-up and the usual signs of playing on the pick-up covers. On the back are some very faint belt-rash marks on the back near the neck bolts and on the battery compartment cover (all have photos to show what I mean). The bass is light weight (just over 9lbs, approx.) and balances really well (no shoulder aches here!). The bass comes with a decent gig bag (also pictured). I’m asking £265.00, which is priced to sell but I’m open to sensible offers. Cheers

Hello, I'm selling my Badass 111 bridge as I need the cash for some tuners. This is a direct replacement for Fender Jazz and Precision Basses, so no drilling is required. This version has a thru-body option, which is good for post 95' Fender P or J basses (why I bought it). I've got two Badass bridges and they're great. It’s in mint condition as, although it has been installed on my bass, the bass has remained cased, shortly after purchase as I’ve been using my other bass. There is an allen key included, but no screws as a tech put it on for me when I upgraded my bass and he used my existing screws (I’m not even sure if any were included). There don’t seem to be any of these bridges around, even on Ebay, and I’m just looking to get back what I paid to fund a set of Hipshot Ultra-lite Tuners for my Jazz bass (swaps would be welcome!).
