SOLD Sandberg California II VM4, Lake Placid Blue, Aged

Edit.... I held on as long as I can but with early 2021 still looking pretty grim.... New photos and a bump! No Trades please. I purchased this bass towards the end of last year in anticipation of a busy touring year... how wrong could I have been! Given the current circumstances having no end in sight I reluctantly offer it out into the world of Basschat. Make no mistake I'll either be hunting for it again or ordering an identical replacement as soon as things get back on course! It's a VM4 (Precision and MM humbucker), with extras being a Hipshot Detuner and rosewood fingerboard (as opposed to standard Pau Ferro). It's Hard Core Aged, and comes with a Sandberg gigbag and all the paperwork. My baggage scales don't seem to want to work at the moment, but it's lighter than anything else i've owned, including the short scales! Passive mode is engaged by lifting the volume knob. Controls are volume, pan, treble, bass. I'll replace the Straplock buttons with the original Sandberg ones. These basses are remarkably versatile and playable, from Precision punch to Musicman bite and all the stuff in between. I can't really think of a gig they arn't suitable for, and will be keeping my VM5 as it really can do everything i ever need. Collection from bournemouth very welcome, but postage also no problem at all. Any questions welcome.

I've just done a bit of a UA upgrade, so this Arrow is now available... It's the Thunderbolt 3/USB-C interface, essentially the entry level into the UA world. It comes with a plugins bundle which I've listed below, which can either be used through their console/LUNA software, or in your recording software of choice. I'm now a full convert to their way of doing things, it's a great bit of kit and has vastly improved the quality of my work at home. The unison-equipped bass amps/610 preamp are particularly lovely for home practice. Comes with an Apple USB-C cable, and UK postage is included. Included: UA 610-B UA 1176LN Legacy UA 1176SE Legacy Ampeg SVT-VR Classic Marshall Plexi Classic Precision Channel Strip (Precision Mix Rack Collection) Precision Reflection Engine (Precision Mix Rack Collection) Precision Delay Mod (Precision Mix Rack Collection) Precision Delay Mod L (Precision Mix Rack Collection) Pultec EQP-1A Legacy Pultec-Pro Legacy Teletronix LA-2A Legacy Raw Distortion RealVerb Pro

@BassTractor Thankyou so much, that means a lot! I've definitely been learning that a lot of these synth lines are quite behind, so easy to rush! @Duarte Awesome suggestion, I'll dig into that! I've taken on a few more since, hope nobody minds me spamming my own thread!

3 from 3.... Also sold some strings to Jimmy, well recommended!

Cheers @Quatschmacher ... Love Come Down by Evelyn King! I've been working on these patches for bloody ages, I think they'll be pretty useful for other tunes too!

Ta very much!

Anyone else spending more time on their synth playing at the moment?

@dave84 Some nice stuff there, well presented!

I'm sure there used to be a thread on this once upon a time, but I may be mistaken as I can't find it. I'm sure a lot of members here are doubling down on their video skills at the moment with a bit more free time, I'm subscribed to a few of you but it'd be fun to see more and put some names to some faces/hands! I'd be very happy to keep this first post updated with a list (feel free to message me if I miss you out). In these tricky times I'm sure everyone would appreciate views and subscribers (I know I would!), and I'd certainly be up for signing up to anyone here. No sure who to ask, but it seems like I have two feedback threads, both in the first few pages at the moment. Any chance of a merge?

Just sold some strings to Nick, who was patient when I couldn't get them out as quickly as I hoped. A true gent and wouldn't hesitate to deal with again!

Fdeck High pass filter/preamp by 4114 effects... only selling as I've invested in a DI with similar features. Shows an upright bass/acoustic instrument pickup the impedance it wants to see, and allows the removal of low end as and when required. Also includes a phase switch, Can really help tame a double bass! 9v standard boss supply powered. Pice includes UK postage.

Absolutely... taking the weekend to assess things at the moment. The only certainty is that the dog'll be getting a lot of long walks (shutdown allowing...)

Two tours wiped out today.. one UK and one Europe, and my only significant source of income over the next 2 months. Same story for a few of my friends. Not really sure where to go from here, nor how the mortgage is getting paid! Maybe the YouTube musicians have got it right...
