  1. So.... this is an Epiphone Newport but with some major tweaking to make it far more useable than the stock model. I've had it completely gutted and re-wired with decent pots and wiring, which has really improved the usability of the bass. Set up as Vol/Vol/Tone (the blend control was useless), and most importantly reinstalled the bridge pickup in-phase, which bizarrely Epiphone still haven't changed, seemingly leaning into it as a feature rather than a bug. I've also lowered the neck pickup as it's overly strong magnets create the string buzz thats audible on many of the demo videos of these. More minor modifications include Gibson knobs and a custom black pickguard for that 60s EB-3 nostalgia. Collection/tryout welcome in Bournemouth, or can double box up for a courier. Any questions / offers please PM!

  2. Do we still have a discount code with Overland Express still? I can't seem to find the info!
  3. @Mickeyboro I'll probably get another one in good time, but i now owe Limelight some money (A not-uncommon situation...)
  4. A bunch of Hipshot USA Ultralite hardware (3/8" size) for a project that never happened. Xtender has been used sparingly, other tuners are brand new. 1 Hipshot USA HE6C Xtender Nickel/Satin Chrome £75 Posted 3 Hipshot USA HB6C Shiny Nickel £75 Posted

  5. After a bit of a bass-buying spree lately I need to let go of this funky little one. Short scale and very lightweight, with a Gator gigbag, extra set of La Bella flatwounds and a Nordy Mute. Collection preferred from the Bournemouth area, but I do travel often and can also post if need be. For those who don't know:
  6. Recorded slightly too early in the morning... IMG_3569-iphonepod.mp4
  7. @Lw. I had a look at this the other day... you've got a brilliant bass there!
  8. Bought the wrong thing... not for the first time! Hipshot Licenced Ultralite HB6C Tuning keys in shiny nickel, 3/8" size and all Bass side. £45 posted.
  9. Both in pretty much new condition, boxed and postage included. EBS Bass IQ Envelope Filter £120 Dunlop Volume X Mini Volume Pedal £107 SOLD
  10. Harley Benton's take on the mustang, but in a PJ format and with Gotoh hardware. This one has had a push/pull pot added which solos the P pickup. It also has a set of Nordstrand pickups fitted, and now sounds rather grown up! Fender short scale gigbag included, and I do have a shipping box if needed. A high quality bass for a very reasonable price. n
  11. Bought when i needed some extra protection for my bass travelling in a big van surrounded by flight cases, this is now surplus to requirements. Not in perfect condition by any means, but offers plenty of protection. Barely fits in my van, so very happy to let it go to someone with need. Fitted both of my 3/4 scale basses well. Collection only, for the reasons already mentioned, in the Poole / Bournemouth area. If you can't bear to take it from me for nothing, I'm always happy to suggest an RNLI donation.
  12. @Frank Blank another V1 I think… I really love it and keep switching between flats and rounds so thinking one each! One may well live with band gear too…
  13. I'd sell it back to you, but I am in fact considering buying a second!
  14. @lobematt Do you have any form of High Pass Filter in your chain? My first port of call would be to tweak the amount of sub going on, followed by switching the phase (There's always a better way round, depending on the room/PA). Loved my Fits with my old bass, but so far haven't felt the loss (since i changed basses and couldn't get any) thanks to the above.
  15. He has indeed... is aging them differently these days!
  16. Another vote for Orchid Electronics... stunningly good value and always come out top whenever I shootout DI boxes for reproducing exactly what is put into them, low end all intact with a strong signal level. The oldest one in my case must be 17 years old by now and still delivers perfectly.
  17. Happy to discuss offers on this... hard to figure out exactly where it should be priced! Feedback via PM welcome if anyone has any thoughts!
  18. I'm selling this Warwick Rockbass Streamer Standard on behalf of one of my students... she needs something a little smaller! As far as I can see it's a mid-2000s instrument. Passive four string with twin MEC humbucker pickups. I have replaced the tuners with proper Gotohs as the Warwick ones were failing, a pretty well documented issue that won't be a problem on this. Gigbag included, postage possible, and I have it here so happy to answer any questions! 4.2kg (9.4lbs) .
  19. Lovely to put a face to a name in the depths of Fleet Services! Great dealings, top notch communication and an all around top-notch buying experience 👍
  20. The rumours are true.... this quirky little bass is now in my hands! Had great fun playing it all evening, it definitely has a place in the collection.
  21. 2 of these GLXD16 Sets available, £325 each posted. 1 SOLD Wireless receiver with tuner built in, by miles the most reliable and user friendly wireless system I've used to this point. One receiver has velcro on the base, and one receiver has it's little rubber door missing (Fairly common I think!) All in great working order. Choice between two cable lengths for the first buyer!
  22. @bassadder Yes indeed!
  23. I finally had the chance to play one of these this weekend... what a cool little bass. Posted in the Wanted section but thought i'd mention it here just in case anyone is looking to move one on!
  24. I had the same experience with Devon Strings... another shout out for Ben Taylor in Southampton, he's really excellent!
