1. Colour me interested. Have sent you a PM
  2. I've used DR Extras for the past 4 or 5 years, doing maybe 100 gigs a year and felt they lasted really well. Would change maybe 2 or 3 times a year. They sounded like a set of nickelwounds which has maybe done one or two gigs - crunchy but not overly bright. They'd stay that way for ages. The last set I used had the new K3 coating which I believe is what's on the Neons too. They've lasted way over a year, but that's because they are horrid compared to the older ones and I've avoided playing the bass they went on - but I'm too tight to just throw them out lol. The K3 ones are definitely closer to a non-coated steelwound string for brightness, but they also started to fade quicker The "burning fingers when sliding" comment is also very familiar. A couple of our numbers I slide up and down the E string (from G 3rd fret to octave and back) a four times in two bars and it is impossible to do on the K3 coated strings, by the second one my fingers are on fire. All in all, I'm really disappointed with them now and I've just bought some Super Slinky, see how they go.

    SOLD

I recently sold one of these - http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2332658 - and was immediately filled with regret and so picked up another, however the same reasons for selling the first are still around, plus I could really do with raising some cash in a hurry to fund another purchase. This one is in absolutely pristine condition. There's not a mark on it that I can see. It plays great and sounds divine. You're welcome to come and try it out. I'm looking for £475. Open to cash offers for a quick sale, prefer collection or meet up. I'm in Chepstow, S. Wales. It will come with a worn but usable and well padded, non-original, gigbag. If I need to post it, I have the original box and plenty of packing but sent that way at the buyer's risk. P&P in the UK at £20 if required. Can talk about hard case options if needs must. Not really looking for trades, but you never know. A 1025x or any Laklands or pretty Sandbergs might tempt me Pics of the bass https://www.icloud.c.../#A65n8hH4cYm9W Drop me a PM or call/txt 07515 929935 Cheers, Pete

  12. Love the 1024x and also love maple boards with black inlays. This, were it not about £1000 out of my price range, could be my ideal bass lol

  14. Jeese bought my Yamaha 1024x and the entire process was just great. Would happily do business again.

  19. Bump before eBay - willing to take an offer taking into account to the fees I'd have to pay if sold on eBay.
  20. I have a couple of these, both boxed which I bought as a temporary solution when the FX on bands PA died. We have a new PA now so these are just sitting in a drawer having been used only once. Primarily designed for use with a microphone, I'm sure you could hook up a DI'd bass too for recording. Full details are here http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irigpre/ Looking for £17.50 each posted in the UK. 21. Bought this with the intention to use it primarily to run backing tracks/samples with my band, but turns out the band just isn't disciplined enough to put in the effort required. I have a couple of other interfaces that I can use for recording so this is just sitting in its box doing nothing. Full details of it are here http://apogeedigital...roducts/gio.php but it is basically a recording interface combined with a MIDI controller laid out in a pedal board style. There are three main things you can use it for...

When recording you can have hands free operation of start/stop/record type functions of your recording software.
When recording and/or playing live you can switch in stomp boxes, amps etc.
When playing live you can cycle through pre-recorded tracks, loops etc. in MainStage
It's designed for Mac and works with Garageband, Logic and MainStage but it is MIDI so can also be used with other applications too. It's in first class condition and comes with all the cables, etc. and in it's original box, though the box has some tape on it from when it was sent to me. Looking for £160 posted in the UK.
  22. bump for £10 off the original asking price. Now £70 ono posted in the UK.
