1.
do you have the wiring diagram/screws/box etc.?
I have the fitting instructions, no box though and no screws required, as simply a drop in replacement for original control plate. Pete
2. Full details here http://www.bestbassgear.com/acg-eq-02-j.htm it's the top one of the two for fitting to a standard jazz bass not a deluxe type jazz (with side jack). Bought this on here a couple of months back and fitted it to a MIJ jazz which I had recently fallen in love with. While there's a mammoth range of tones to be got from this (more than a standard J-retro even), I haven't really adjusted to the control concept enough to get the most out of it and occasionally have fond myself struggling to find the tone I like, which I am surprised to find was the passive tone I was getting before putting this in. Anyway, someone will give this a good home I'm sure. It's still in my bass at the moment so if you wanted to come around and have a try with a view to buying, that can be done. It's also a solder free installation (apart from the earth) which means it is fairly straightforward to fit for even a numpty like me. £95 incl. P&P or £90 collected.

4. Warwick Rockbag Premium Line Double Bass Guitar Gig Bag Gig bag for two basses (not one double bass!). Have used this for gigging over the past couple of years and it's got plenty of life left in it yet. The bottom of the bag wore through after a couple of months (where I didn't take off my Schaller type straplocks) but my repair job has held strong for the past three years or so (gigging and rehearsing every week). Should comfortably hold most basses as I have used Lakland JO5, FBass BN6 and a few other longer scale basses. This is a very sturdy and well padded bag and they retail new for about £70. 5.
That seems to be only £10 off new dude, not sure if thats enough of an incentive to get yours rather than a new one.
Cost me £120 plus postage though I see they've dropped in price a little now. I'm open to offers as I (hopefully) stated in the original post, what did you have in mind? Pete

Octave pedal

Have to say, IMHO the Digitech BSW is best for just s straight ahead simple octave doen sound. I found it tracks way better than the BOSS, EBS, Ashdown, Line6 ocateves I tried. I tend to have a quite high output from my basses, so perhaps that's part of the difference in tracking opinions - for me the OC-2 and OC-3 creack up about E on the A string. Currently using an Aguilar, though not employed enough yet to form a full opinion, however love it so far and again, tracks really well in my experience. To the OP, best answer is either get out and try some or buy second hand and that way if you don't like, you'll not lose out too much.
7. bum page
8. bump as trade deal fell through so this is available.
9.
Quite interested, still selling ?
Unseen since mid-September and as thing stand if/when he does return, I'd still like to complete the deal we agreed before his disappearance!
10. It's one thing to sell something you've bought locally for a bargain from somewhere where there was limited bass playing custom and then sell it on at reasonable market value on here or eBay, it's something else entirely to buy something from a national/international source, well known to bass players - like here or eBay for example - and then try to take advantage of the nature of this community and turn a substantial profit on it a few days or so later.
11. I have no problem with someone selling something at a profit. I have no problem with someone asking a price that's maybe a bit hopeful given the market in general, even if when advised that person sticks to their guns. Two things annoy me in the context of the for sale section on this site: 1. People trying to sell stuff at comically inflated prices, persistently bumping and then acting as though they're being ever so generous when they knock £50 off the asking price, bringing that down to just £800 more than would be reasonable - which there's been an awful lot of lately. It clutters up the board, wastes everyone's time (excepting those who feel the need to have a gushing, "Ooo that's pretty" type post) and makes it harder for people actually living in the real world and looking to just sell one bass in order to buy another or 'cause they need to raise a little cash. That's what the FS sections used to be about - likeminded (mostly) individuals moving their gear on so they could try other things without having to pay eBay fees, deal with dodgy sellers etc. 2. People selling something which could have been bought by anyone else here because it was on eBay or in some cases even on here just a few days/weeks ago and slapping a couple of hundred quid or more onto to the original asking price. Especially when the original price was about fair to begin with. It contributes nothing to the community and in fact only takes away, for personal gain no less. It clogs the boards up as well. I also just find it really insulting to be honest - I mean, do you think no one would notice?
12. Absolutely incredible that this is not sold.
13. I think it's partly that they're not long enough ago yet and partly that the price of 70's Fenders is still just about within reach if you've got your heart set on one and are willing to bide your time a little or go for one that's not necessarily A1 condition. Five or six years ago, 70s Fenders were going for £750 to £1250, and 80s ones are now coming up in that price bracket. Another 5 years or so and it's almost certain you'll be looking at £2000 minimum for some 70s action, 80s will be the next best thing in terms of affordability, plus add in the fact they're arguably a better made bit of kit and I'm sure the popularity will rise. In fact, they may even go a bit nutso on price increases as there was a big gap in production after about '83 so scarcity will be a factor. Wouldn't be surprised to see 80's Jap Fenders and certainly the early Squiers becoming extremely popular too.
14. We've been using Tapco/Mackie Thump TH15a cabs the past year or so and they're fantastic value for money IMHO. Might be a litttle too big in terms of size, but weight wise shouldn't be an issue. Also have a set of Titan 8s which we use as monitors and for rehearsing which are surprisingly pokey.
15.
What fender are you looking for man? I would like the last cab, are they the isobaric ones? (2 speakers, i points down)
Sorry, both cabs are gone now. But for the record, they are 1x12 not 2x12 and therefore not isoberic.
16. Possibly interested. Is it fitted to a J-Bass plate at the moment with all knobs etc. ? Is the jack socket fitted to the plate (standard type) or does it need to go through a separate hole in the side of bass (deluxe type)? Finally, is it the solder free type connections?
17. Thanks Manu
18. Yes, absolutely Dolphin are required to accept the return of this to them with a full refund (item and delivery charge) under the DSR regulations. Their T&Cs even reference the Distance Selling Regulations http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/faq/list/category_id/2 You are under a duty of care for the item while it is in your possession and in transit to them. You need to take care to return it to them in original packaging in as close to new condition as possible, although they can't penalise you if, for instance, the product was supplied in sealed packaging and opening it makes re-use impossible.
19. I'd say surf green, assuming it is slightly green, otherwise it's sonic blue. Definitely not sea foam green, not least because that's not a fender colour. Foam green (no sea) was a fender custom colour, similar to the middle one of those three telecasters, but not quite as brilliant, more like the green on old Morris minors.
20. bump Have done a deal for one of these so have one cab left. Looking for £280 posted in the UK
