1. Do you have one of those sucker type phone holders in your car? If so, sucker it onto the screen and gently pull. The "glass" is held on by magnets around the edges. Once you've go it off, I imagine you'll be able to easily clean the inside of the glass with a bit of Mr Muscle window cleaner. That is almost certainly where the tinge is hiding. I had a similar thing happen on my iMac. There are videos on youtube showing the fix.
2.
Just out of curiosity would you consider a USA 75 RI Jazz as a trade? I'm not 100% sure I want to swap yet but for my function band the clover would be really versatile.
Thanks but had a couple of those and lovely though they are, not really for me.
3. Bump for price drop
4. Thanks Nick

6. Clover Apeiron H.5 in super rare gold sparkle finish. [s]A bit unsure about selling this as it's a stunning bass to play and to look at, but there's stuff on my wish list which needs funding.[/s] Been doing some shopping so could do with selling this. Price dropped to £900. The bass features the Delano Hybrid pick-up and EQ system. You get a jazz pick-up in the neck and a jazz/MusicMan hydbrid pick-up at the bridge. The rear coil of the MMan is actually a full on jazz bass style pick-up. With the switch in MMan mode The controls are Vol - Blend - Bass - Treble and both sets of pole pieces on the bridge pick-up are engaged. With the blend fully to the bridge, you get classic StingRay tone which you can then shape with the active bass and treble eq. If you want to blend in the neck pick-up for some added thump, you can do that too. With the switch in Jazz mode, you get the rear pole pieces on the bridge pick-up enabled and the bass becomes a traditional passive jazz bass as the bass and treble of the onboard eq are disabled and the treble pot becomes a traditional passive tone pot. Aside from all that, it plays beautifully. A little less of a monster than a typical Fender 5 string jazz, the body sits comfortably and the neck has a very comfortable shallow profile and quite a flat radius. I've got very small hands and find it very easy to play. The action is low but could go lots lower to. It's an awesome bass which sounds and plays every bit as great as it looks. Comes with a well used Clover gigbag for [s]£950[/s] [s]£900[/s] £850 ono or in a traditional type hard case for [s]£975[/s] [s]£925[/s] £875 ono. 12. These came from a Fender Classic Series 70s Jazz Bass I have which now sports US custom shop 60s reissue pickups and wiring. Will make a nice little upgrade or reasonably priced addition to a build. £40 for the pick-ups, £15 for the controls or both for £50. Includes P&P in the UK. PM me or call/txt on 07515 929935.

Traded

An old flame has come available and I need to raise some funds so looking to sell this monster. It's a Fender Classic Series 70s Jazz Bass in black with rosewood board and the Fender info page is here http://intl.fender.c...-bwb-pickguard/ What makes this bass a little extra special is that instead of the standard Mex pickups and electronics, this bad boy is sporting a set of Fender Custom Shop 60s pick-ups along with the Fender vintage wiring kit, including CTS pots; cloth wiring and orange drop capacitor. It sounds epic and has far more grunt than either US 75 reissue I've owned. There's real bark and bite in the tone whenever the bridge pick-up is favoured and the neck pick-up has a lovely warmth. Both pick-ups together and the tone rolled off a smidge is my weapon of choice but it does so much more. The neck is really comfy to play with what I would describe as a medium action (how meaningful that is to anyone I don't know!), and I haven't made any major changes to the set-up (raised the E string a little) but I think, with a little tinkering, the action could go a lot lower. I find playing slap style on this more comfortable than on any other bass I've owned and it sounds terrific. I'm looking for £575 ono and that price includes an almost brand new hard case plus the original pick-ups and pots. Prefer collection but P&P in UK possible for £25. Not really looking for trades but I suppose if you have a Yamaha 1024x, 1025x or a Lakland 4/5 I could always be tempted. PM me or give me a call/tx on 07515 929935. Pete
14. Assuming its correct, this may help... https://japanfender....ls/color-chart/ Is it like the last colour YWH? Also, it wouldn't take much for Olympic White to go from creamy to custardy.
15. Is 200lbs also the weight? Kidding, any idea how heavy? Might be in the market for some bins soon.
16. Andy bought my StingRay. Very nice bloke to deal with.
17. Pretty sure that's Inca Silver (just as rare, as these things go).
18.
I dare say that the Ramones influenced far more bands than U2.
The Ramones were a major influence on U2 so if there's any kind of inherited influence in effect, then that's a fair statement for sure.

20.
That might be so but I still see no reason for this signature bass, he has used every brand going, its not as if anyone would say ooh thats a AC bass before this model came out in the same way everyone knows what a Brian May guitar is. You are welcome to have a dig as an AC fan but it still wont make me like him, judging ability by success is for primary school children imo
I agree almost entirely on the signature guitar issue. If it's truly a unique instrument associated with an artist, as you say, like Brian May, then there's total sense in it, otherwise it's more a special run that happens to have had someone famous pick the specs. On your second point, nobody has to like him, but a quick search on these forums will reveal that there are plenty of people who can't wait to point how much they dislike him and/or to have a go at his ability. In fairness to me, I'm not judging his ability by success, I'm judging the impact that his playing, in that one song had. It's the fact that anyone feels the need to judge his (or anyone else's) ability at all which I can't get my head around. Especially when they're either wilfully ignoring or are unaware of tracks where he has shown he can do more than just pump out the eighth notes.
