  1. No problems with mine and we run a lot of wireless gear including an XR18 mixer with a separate router but one question - I assume are you running the X32 with a router ? If so, is it running dual band or 5GHz only ?
  2. look, no bass amp - i was feeling sorry for the two guitarists having to lug all their amps, cabs and mega pedalboards etc (but only for a bit)....IEMs and Helix for the win !
  3. ah - i see - i've just had a look at some pics of the Helix Floor and it is completely different to the LT underneath. It looks like it only has 4 feet instead of 6 on the LT (difficult to tell from the pics i found) and they are much more recessed from the edges as you say. I can design some feet to fit but will need some dimensions of their position on the base of the unit.
  4. @BigRedX - I could do a set of 6 feet for £6.50 posted in the UK - a few different colours available. They can have a countersunk screw hole as pictured or plain depending on which screws you want to fix them to the pedalboard with. The height is the same as the std. rubber feet so the same screws can be used to fix them to the Helix. PM me if your're interested
  5. Loads of room on that one ! - I didn’t know it was a lift-out board on that particular case (nice screen protector btw )
  6. @BigRedX - I designed and printed the feet myself. They fit onto the helix using the same screws as the rubber feet and then some wood screws into the board. The board is only just big enough for the LT and some space behind it for cables etc so not much good if you use external pedals. I know @dood had a board that was big enough for quite a few pedals and the LT - he may be able to point you in the right direction. the LT was sitting way too high as standard so I dropped the height of the main board in the case by removing the wood support underneath it so the LT will sit lower and have a bit more clearance inside the lid - works well for me and drops the height by about 45mm. Edit : I’ve still got some screen protectors available from the next production run for sale and I can print some fixing feet if anyone wants some
  7. My setup uses just the left XLR out to our digital mixer and then an aux out to the stage monitor (DBR15 for the rest of the band) and the separate main outs to the PA. This means I have independent control of the stage and main PA volume plus the ability to EQ both independently if needed. I also feed my IEMs in stereo from another pair of aux outs, again, with independent EQ, volume, compression etc etc. No need for any separate DI boxes (although I always carry one just in case it all goes horribly wrong !) i fixed my LT to the pedalboard (a swanflight one) using some 3D printed feet that replace the standard rubber feet and allow it to be screwed directly to the board. It’s been solid for the past few months and all my wireless gear (smoothound), battery for the receiver and a few other bits n pieces all fit on there.
  8. I hope this is allowed outside of the buy/sell forums (if not, please let me know) but following a bit of interest I'm putting an order together for a batch of Helix floor/LT protector screen assemblies. If anyone wants one, they are £20 incl. UK postage - either PM me or email : [email protected]
  9. glad i'm not the only one who thinks that
  10. yeah - only problem is Chad, the group admin who doesn't like 'competing' products posted - he sells some bits and bobs on there. I've had posts deleted about the screen protectors etc
  11. Quick 3D printed prototype with some magnets I had knocking around. Needs a bit of resizing but works OK. will print one in a translucent material next so the colour ring is visible 20180321_140534.mp4
  12. Shouldn’t be that difficult to design & 3D print one with a conductive element built into it. I’ll have a look at it when I get a spare moment.
  13. it does sit flat - there is a bit of play in the jack plug joint on mine and that, combined with the slightly springy battery door and orientation of the strap for the photo is the reason for the small gap shown. a small piece of velcro wold stop any movement but it doesn't move around much at all even after a thorough shaking last night !
  14. final (and much simpler) version of the REAN connector retaining block. no screws & no clips this time - just a one-piece printed part attached with 30mm wide velcro
  15. testing the prototype now - i need to give it some usual gig abuse to be certain it's OK but i'm pretty confident it'll be fine. It'll probably be a week or so before i can make some more (as my printer is fully booked) and then i'll cost it up (it'll only be a few quid or a bit more with the REAN connector pre-installed. Will let you know.
  16. for anyone wanting to easily mount their Smoothound transmitter on a strap, I've got a new design for a simple 3D printed clip assembly that holds the REAN connector to your strap and can be left attached to it. The transmitter & extension cable fit into the connector as normal. I'll also do a more universal one that mounts with a velcro strap as this one only fits length-ways on a leather strap into the length adjustment slots. just testing the first prototype. the parts are printed in a modified ABS polymer and are more than strong enough - see what you think (pics attached)
  17. High and low cuts are your friend when it comes to this sort of thing. Either apply them on the cab block or run a high/low cut EQ block somewhere in your chain (i use it right at the end). I started with a high cut around 10kHz but it's now around 4-5kHz - makes a massive difference running into IEMs/powered cabs/PA etc. I also now use the low cut around 60Hz which tightens up the overall sound a lot
  18. It's both. You can assign it to one or both and it'll do a load of other stuff too like assigning variable drive levels on amps or distortion pedals etc. Ive had my LT for a few weeks now and barely scratched the surface of what it can do - basically, if you can think of it, it’ll probably be able to do it.
  19. I also prefer the legacy bass octave over the simple pitch shift I’ve been using
  20. On a slight tangent but has anyone used the helix as a midi controller for a digital mixer (X Air 18)? I want to switch an FX channel on the XR18 on & off in a certain part of a song (basically a much longer vocal delay) using the helix
  21. I’ve got almost the exact same setup with the exception of an RBI / RPM and it sounds great...it stays at home now My helix through the PA (with a DBR15 monitor for the less enlightened members of the band) and IEMs make me and the band sound better overall and I don’t miss the on-stage volume one bit. Rock ‘n’ roll eh !
  22. Just sent you a PM Doug re. a micro thumpinator.
  23. Hopefully the final prototype - first gig test tonight and then i'll make a couple more for further evaluation. Now uses microsuction tape to stick to the helix so will fit both versions and is removable / repositionable with no tape residue stuck on the helix. Screen is now 3mm thick (up from 2mm) and laser cut/engraved
  24. looks like i'm killing rock n roll too . The DBR15 is for the rest of the band - i'd be happy with just my IEMs
  25. first gig tomorrow with the Helix and no dedicated bass amp - bit of tweaking required to suit the DBR15. I'm liking the Cali 400 Ch1 amp and 8x10 combo on a split with 75% going direct
