2. just had the good fortune to purchase a couple of bits from this top fellow (gerber multi-tools....always worth keeping in the gig-bag!), & as previously mentioned, john is indeed a fine chap to deal with. thanks mate, karl
 3. i've sent him a question about its history, so we'll see if he replies & puts it on the listing:  mentioned bridge pup postition/shape, & neckplate. (given him some rope, so lets see if he's willing to hang!!) :brow:

 8.
You can buy the sheets and trim to shape
(slightly off subject).....is there somewhere where you can send your pickguard and get one made/copied exactly from that?
 9. nice black trio there.....moody. :brow: (what's the book about......and don't say a 'past that is lurid'! )

 13.
Someone thats a talented musician, reasonably stylish, easy going & dedicated.
sounds a great gig for somebody!..................... ......................unfortunately this criteria may rule most of us out!!!
 14.
There's certainly something of the tortured artist about him. He seems to have had so much responsibility for the Who in a writing/direction sense and plenty of critisism when he got it wrong. Hard thing to deal with. I watched it - excellent show. Good too that the filmakers didn't dwell too much deaths of Moon and Entwhistle in that voyeuristic way that filmakers often do. It would make their death more significant than their lives. What a loss they were though , if only they could have curbed it a bit.
+1. well put doc. i though it was great viewing too.
 15.
Unless you happen to be on stage enjoying the greater joy!?!
i think that comes under the 'gig in amsterdam' section!!
 16. i've got a MIJ PB on the 'bay at the mo (vintage white), bought from guitaremporium. it is made from basswood, sounds great & looks the nuts! (bought on a whim, but just can't do the neck thing!...so i'm sticking with my jazz & sterling).
 17. Messeurs P Lynott & C Williams.
 18. mick, i bought one a few weeks ago for my MIJ PB. 100% perfect fit with no mods needed. don't know if the MIM version is different size/screw positions though......best to email them. karl

 21.
btw - what's 'best practice' ?
like the 'amazing slow downer'...free downloadable software, so you can listen/slow down tracks, for learning/transcribing etc......good stuff.
 22.
so long as everything I buy costs £100 (honest darling) shes happy
+1. too true! luckily mrs physio doesn't do ebay/look at my bass magazines, so she's blissfully unaware of real cost (shhh ). she wonders why i've got/need more than 1 bass......"you can can only play one at a time, so why have any more" etc......so i just put her shoes/handbags into the discussion.....instant silence!!
 23. THAT was a BARGAIN for somebody!!!
 24. it could be one of many things. but if it persists over the next few days/week or so, either pop to your gp, or better still, find a local chartered physio to take a look at it (and your posture/ergonomics in general). good luck. karl
 25.
A waste of wood and strings?
definately not my cup of tea either!! if 'D.F.S.' ever made basses, this is what i'd imagine them to look like.........a little bit over-designed (IMO).
