  2. An SB2 is a superb instrument and with flats on is my favourite. I love the balanced vol vol controls too. I have a youtube link to the SB2 Di'd directly into the desk. Note: I play guitar in the vid so my buddy Paul is standing in for the vid. the SB2 is very warm sounding and always gets interest and positive comments when played live.
  3. Hi, I believe they are all interchangable, including the Sterlingray 35... I have a 90's fretted neck on the bass at the moment and its a good fit
  4. According to my fishing scales, just shy of 91b
  5. Open to offers for a cash, the price is trade value!
  6. Another pedal that never made it out of the house so this is as new, with it's box, softcase etc. It is extremeley well made and portable. A classy pedal. Will post in europe at cost. Demo'd here:
  7. Hipshot KickAss bridge Used but unmarked so as new. I took it off a bass that I bought and put the origonal back on in order to return it to the factory spec. No box but it is the same as the one in the picture.
  8. I play a Dimension Standard V and recently got myself this Dimension 4 Deluxe bass to try. Although I haven't had it for very long I have had it long enough to know that I really like it so I would ideally like to trade it for a similar 5 string Dimension? If not I will sell it as I don't play 4's much. Condition is good and it plays nicely. It has been used and has a couple of knock marks. Neither of these have exposed the wood and although one looks prominent it is cosmetic only and you have hardly feel it with your finger. I have also put the original Fender high mass bridge back on as preferred it. t comes with it's rather "natty" Fender case and candy as pictured. If you need any more info please ask. Price is the trade value.
  9. Thanks everyone, I'll try all these out when I get some time
  10. I love my SB2. Between that and my passive Dimension I have all bases covered Tone mod?? Why mess with perfection?
  11. I had a delivery of a bass last week. They left a card and said they had put it around the back of my house. By the time I got home it had poured down but luckily it was in a hard case so OK...not impressed/
  12. In answer to the leads and phantom power questions, I have pretty much ruled those out. At some point I'll double check with a little mixing desk I have tucked away somewhere.
  13. Thanks for the advice, much appreciated. It definitely seems dead I'll look into it more when I have time.
  14. Hi, I have a Rode NT1 microphone that appears lifeless. It has been sitting on a mic stand for months with a poly bag over the top to stop dust. There is no sign of a signal though my Scarlet interface Any suggestions or advice on fixing or if it is worth sending to get it fixed? Ed
  15. I use the B string quite a lot in our origonals songs. Both up and down the neck and I love to bounce between octaves. Like on the end of Fear of Flies : https://theangrybadgers1.bandcamp.com/track/the-fear-of-flies
  16. I agree with this, if the sound isn't there the electronics will struggle to bring it out. I have had a a few basses and my Ibanez ATK and BTB were great in this respect as is my American Dimension..they really sing and aren't .
  17. I guess it goes with the style of music
  18. My ears tell me that his control is good but my eyes say WTF!? I'd be lucky to last 2 songs playing like that but my hands are a problem and I've had to adapt my style. I also use the B as a rest for most of the time
  19. I struggle to play finger style and play mostly with a pick. My fingers are getting old and I struggle from RSI so I'm quite jelous when I see people play like this guy in the following video. Is that sustainable or is he going to end up with bloody stumps after a few years? I have to say that I like the results.
  20. Still here but not being pushed for a while
  21. The MIJ ones that I played had Bartolini printed across them so I assume so. They also used some Bart designed ones like Cort do now
  22. The prestige SR's have custon designed Barts and if you sind an old SR MIJ with barts it is worth a look. I have tried a SR1300, SE1000 and SR805 in the past and all sounded good ro my ear. I also had a prestige SR3005 that raised the bar to a whole new level. I found the controls a little over complicated for my needs, otherwise I would still have it.
  23. Those are the cheaper series 1 "made under licence" jobbies. They are cheap basses. You should try something like a Ibanez SR5000 or even some of the older MIJ Ibanez...great sound
  24. I've tried a few longer scale basses but came back to 34" scale and was happy until this thread. I'm now rethinking and on the looking for one of these. The only problem is that I mainly play small venues. 😂
