  1. Hmm plenty of class machines to choose from there.....yes any of those please
  2. There are lots of cracking passive 4 stringers like Sandbergs, Fenders, and G&L's but when it comes to 5 stringers I am more drawn to active ibanez's G&L's, Stingrays etc. I do see a few nice Fender Jazz's and precisions but not much else. Am I missing out on something? What are people playing?
  3. My band is experimental. Essentially we're a heavy prog rock band. In practice that means lots of variations in time and sound. Our sets are linked together with soundscapes. Although it may sound like it is improvised it really isn't that random at all. Our synth player plays midi though varios effects pedals and a monotron. I get to use some great bass eeffects and pedal combinations. It is hard work but great fun. It seems to be paying off to as we're getting more airplay and festival spots despite struggling to get decent gigs. Facebook page is here: https://www.facebook.com/TheAngryBadgers/ or on youtube.
  4. It is tempting but having two the would be madness. This is the bass that stuck with me and stopped me flipping basses. Very versitile with loads of sounds. Ibanez's answer to the G&L L2500. What I particulary like is that switch. I use the EQ flat and just flip that switch to get a more agressive sound when I want with no volume increase whatsoever. It can do a great P bass sound, Stringray whatever, is well built. You should keep it buddy. My band love mine so I'm under instructions to keep it.
  5. ooh my weopon of choice, great basses these but I can't justify two. Good luck with the sale!
  6. In answer... 1. The Angry Badgers 2. We going to gig the songs and would like to play the complete album from start to finish but in most cases this won't be possible as we currently don't have that sort of following or gig opportunities. It is our first full album 3. What packaging? Not sure yet as we aren't rich, we're doing stuff in house where possible but still have lots of costs and virtually no income. We have done everything in house before with an EP and were happy with the results...cost us about £2.50 per CD from memory. Having said that we believe in the product and want something that we're proud of. We do get radio play of our existing stuff all be it on specialist rather than mainstream stations. Money is probably going to be the main issue but I'm a believer in aiming high...otherwise what is the point!
  7. Lots of useful stuff here top refer too. We are already on Music Glue : https://www.musicglue.com/theangrybadgers/ That llooks like it has possibilities and is easy to use. We've also done our own thing in the past with good results. Many thanks!
  8. Hi, I think that I need this...OK that was a lie but I want it. Message sent
  9. Thanks, I was hoping to find someone who would print on demand. I'm working on a concept album so really want to sell it as a complete piece of work rather than individual tracks. If I could set something up then we could concentrate on promotion. Driving sales is the key I reckon. I have been to loads of gigs where people are giving them away as they can't sell them.
  10. Hi, any advice on where best to sell physical CD's? The two I know of are CD Baby and Bandcamp. We're not expecting to sell that many but do want to offer them. All advice greatfully recieved.
  11. Thanks, I have altered the description. There were three up for sale origonally and the ones pictured are for sale. Ignore the 1200 obviously
  12. If it does 15v it should be fine I would have thought.
  13. I agree with the above. Yamaha BB's, G&L's, Sterlingrays, Ibanez Sr's or my choice an ATK805 if you can find If you are set on 35" scale a newish Ibby BTB or Yamaha TRB are great.
  14. Loads of them from and around Bristol Here is Becky from IDestroy and Baz from the Funkinsteins for a start.
  15. I never really got the Gibson bass thing. If it wasn't for Jack Bruce and Andy Fraser I wouldn't have given them a 2nd look Guitars? They have some nice ones but I preferred the old Guilds to be honest. I have a Guild LP at the moment.
  16. Hmm that basically echoes what I reard on the radio today, where a guitarist said something like "lots of other companies now make Gibson style guitars that are better than gibsons.
  17. Thanks for all the positve feedback. A pleasure doing business with you!
  18. A user update: I used mine for an extended Jam last night with my band. It sounds great on it's own or in combination with other pedals and doesn't lessen the presence of the bass in the mix. I'm very happy with it. It has replaced my octave on my board.
  19. A great little pedal, very controllable with a wide range of usable sounds. It works well when combined with other pedals. This one is used in good clean condition, with velcro on the bottom £40 and a lot of fun for the money Collection possible or £5 postage.
  20. A sturdy hard case for a small acoustic. Externally tatty as it has some sticker marks on the outside and the keys are missing but if you want to keep your small acoustic nice and safe it could be just what you need. Nice and east to carry too. It fits a Faith Venus Guitar. Collect or deliver in or around Bristol
  21. Clearing our unnused cases. Pictures to follow. Both On Hold 1. Hiscox Hard Case. It came with Stingray in it that is long gone. Standard I believe and in used but good condition. I don't have the keys but it will keep your treasured bass safe from knocks and bashes. Typical red interior. £50 2. An ibanez soft case from an ATK 805 so will fit most basses. Well made and in good condition, with three usable pockets and carry straps. Ideal for taking your bass to practices or town gigs but not something to use for touring IMHO Available for pickup or delivery in or around Bristol. £35
