But if you make a bass out of parts and use a gebuine Fender neck that is logo'd then that is OK isn't it? As long as you let people know

I agree all Stingrays, G&L's, Fenders, Gibsons, Laklands and guilds made out side the USA should be banned as they aren't the real thing..tongue firmly in cheek

Hi, I always loved flats on my Stingray and thought they soundded great for rock, although I did change to Status half rounds, which are no longer in production. I now play an Ibanez with coated Elixurs but have TI flats on my fretless Stingray. I don't think that you will go wrong as you will have lots of aadjustment to play with on the amp. I had mine set at 12 oclock on both the bass and a bit of scoop on the amp and loved it. A bit plus is that they stay sounding good for years

It also depends on how the mband create their music. Fot instance it is much easier for a lead singer to stamp around the stage, wave and engage with the audience, compared to a singer guitarist, who is stuck infront of his mic stand and pedal board for the the majority of the time. I watched Queens of the Stone Age recently at the O2, They sounded great but they were so tiny from my seat at the back. I think the problem is worse at those large venues.

No not here, have you tried Knock Knock Knocking on Kevins Door?

GAK is £718 today but many others like PMT will price match. I bought one yestarday after recording bass with one recently. First impressions are "It be big and black and I be afraid of it". I've been down the multieffects route before and hated it but I so far I find using this is amazingly similar and inuitive.

Hi, I have a few sets of silver schaller type straplocks -buttons and strap fittings (I think i may also have a black set somewhere) and would like two sets of gold finished ones. Note: being up front I bought them from here so don't know if they are genuine schaller or not but they seem good quality to me. Let me know if you want to swap

A fantastic programable delay that is easy to use. It has velcro attached and is boxed and in good condition. Empress pedals are top class in my opinion but as I only use one of the memory slots I'm not using this one to it's potential so would like the dosh instead. £200 Please add £7.50 for insured postage.

These are really nice and easy to use, have Di out and sound great. The condition is very good so it's a potential Christmas prezzie with no notable marks. It comes with it's origonal box and instructions. It has two stin strips of velcro attached to the front and back edges to avoid it slipping on the pedal board-between the feet so it is as it should be. I have't used this for a while but hung onto it as it is a great pedal and I thought it would get me out of jail if my amp ever failed. Time to move it on though. Allow £5 for postage

I nitice that searches for G&L come up with nothing.....I suspect there are a few threads lurking out there.

Hi, I just spent about 15 mins looking for mine to. Searches for "Pinball" in the forum shows nothing at all.

Ibanez, Bass Collection, Tune and Pedulia would be good brands to look at. My G&L SB2 is nice too. I would also suggest looking at your playing position if your worried about neck dive. Adjusting the strap so that the bass head more upwards rather than horizontal helps with my tendon problems as is really easy to do with a lighter bass.

I catch your drift Chewie I have a GB Streamliner and 2x12 but use an Ashdown Mibass and 1x15 Ashdown cab in the house and that has loads of oomph. It also saves be carrying my gear in and out of the house. If I was you I would hang onto one of your GB cabs and get a nice 200-350W head that matches it. That way you still have plenty in the tank if you do need it for a gig. Ashdown RM or Gallien & Krueger would be my choices

One left for sale A Yamaha LL6SB + fitted with an excellent Freshman Ellipse VT preamp system. The total new value would be about £900+. I was told that this was the early version with an ebony fret board, It is outstandingly resonant but I no way to verify this. I managed to find the following on the internet for the model without the electronics. Thanks to Yamaha’s classic LL modified dreadnought body and the use of premium tonewoods including a Solid Englemann Spruce Top, and Rosewood Back and Sides, the LL6 offers a loud, powerful, well-balanced tone with clear response and excellent projection. Construction features unique to the L-Series include an enlarged neck block for greater stability and better low frequency response, a 3-ply laminated vintage ‘V’ Profile Neck for ultra-comfortable feel. £400 seems a bargain...ooh also it has a name and is called Elaine. I think that she's a bit special https://www.youtube....h?v=D4DBwQEuoaI
