1. Traded pedals + some, thanks very Much Gaz. Trade with confidence!
 2. Change of plan, the amber one is now on hold and the green one still here
 3.
I'll take the green one if it's still going?
You have a message
 4. Trades? Looking for a new toy, Fender V1 or MIJ Mustang, something interesting short scale, Barefaced compact or nice 400-600W head?

 6.
Any trades? Thanks
Yes, I'm always interested but I need to be picky as I'm lucky enough to have what I need already. I just love trying basses and gear.
 7.
Could you tell me what the string spacing is at the nut and at the bridge, please? Also - what is the finish of the neck, please? And finally - can they do a passable P-sound by any chance?
Lets see, The neck is gloss finish, Seems like a shallow "C" section at the thin end changing to a shallow D as it gets fatter. They are renowned for being good players String spacing looks like 19mm at the bridge, 38mm to the outside of the strings. Neck width at the nut is 46mm "Can they do a passable P sound?" Hmm it isn't that type of pass. There is plenty of bass tone on tap thanks to the active EQ and good electronics. Jazz tone yes and agressive warricky tones yes. My band really liked it when I subbed it for my Stingray so it has plenty under the tank but not what I think of as a P bass tone. Any trial welcome
 8.
How much do they weigh? Thanks
Just tried to weight the green one on the kitchen scales and around 8 1/2 ib They both feel about the same weight
 9.
i did have an SGC Nanyo 5er and it was a lovely bass - one with 2 J pickups. GLWTS
Yes they are nice, these ones were the high end modwes with very good elecronics packages that stand up well today IMHO. The damage on the green one is a few chips to the hear, I touched them up with a green permanent marker and you can't see really or photograph them
 10.
Nice, especially the honey burst. Sadly I've given up on 5 strings too much thinking for my tiny brain
Yep I have been there, went back to 4's and came back to 5's with a diffrent approach. I now play 5's them like a 4 string most of the time, using the lower B as a rest and then using it when I need it. It works for me
 11. £1000 Putting my beautiful early 2000's translucent red stingray up for sale. I searched long and hard to find this colour and recall seeing another 5'er. It has been my gigging bass for the last couple of years and I'm only considering selling as my G&L hasn't sold. It comes with it's MM hard case. The bass used but in good condition. It has some damage on including a couple of tiny nicks and a patch of missing paint on the top edge that can be seen in one of the photographs. It still has loads of life left. I'm not sure of the weight but its lighter than my previous SR5. Nice neck grain. It's a stunner IMHO! It's in this vid: https://www.youtube....h?v=OXPhW7z2UJ0 [
 12. Note: now just this one so £400. A nice lightweight bass, great looker and player with a great tone to match. Pretty rare and origonal. Active/passive switch, 2 band EQ, volume and and pickup pan. Gotoh hardware. Both active and passive tones sound great to my ears... When new around 2000 it was a high end bass. Muse fans will know that Chris Wolstenholme used the 4 string BC back then: https://www.youtube....aXfuf8I&fref=gc If you want more pictures PM me and I'll send you a mail. Price is + postage
 13.
It depends if it's old stock, for the store, and whether they'll be importing any more or what strand of rosewood it is. As far as my knowledge goes, there's different varieties of Rosewood and similar woods like Pau Ferro which Fender have started using on the new mexican Noir models.
Your right there are lots of different species of rosewood and also ebony and probably lots more. They aren't the same at all really
 14.
https://blog.anderto...k/guitars/cites Worth a check
Thanks that includes some really useful information....nice yo know that you can still travel with your guitar without worrying
 15.
I managed to preorder an Ibanez SR1400 for £899 last week when both the MLG and NT variants were at this price for a few days . They are now up to £999 and £1099 respectively with the same retailer - I asked if I could change the bass to the other colour but was told I would have to pay the increased price if I did as the suppliers had increased their prices. I'm awaiting stock so I hope I actually receive it as it seems I've been lucky getting in just ahead of the hike..
Ibanez are exceptionally good value at the moment. I bought a BTB Premium last week and there was nothing else new that compared to it in terms of price/quality/spec
I think there's also the consideration for CITIES protecting rosewood too, so the import/export of it has also been impacting the price of guitars. Mostly due to exchange rates.... we need to stop having elections in the UK XD
Lots of rosewood in my BTB, my understanding is that rosewood needs to be licenced but maybe some don't have the licenced stocks to draw on.
 16. Hi, Hi I'm just wondering if ther are any epiphone of Gibson SG 30" scale bass owners in Bristol who would let me have a try of their bass for a few minuites. I quite fancy a Gibson but they are so radically different from anything that I have that I would like to get the feel of one first. Just PM me Thanks for looking.
 17. I mean, these sound amazing don't they? I don't think there is anything else out there like it for the money. New vid up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2osFbwuOyEE
 18. I really like them, they handle well and I like the looks and but then don't fall in love with the sound. I'm not sure why. Maybe it is because it isn't really distinctive and just falls into the already crowded catagory of "a modern bass sound".
 19. ooh I do love the high end SR's. I had a SR3005 and still remember its awesomeness. PMT have a very ordinary looking used brown SR4000 sitting in its ibanez line up in Bristol at the moment. Coolio
 20. loveley, I would love that one if funds allowed GLWTS
 21. Farida D-5212E Steve Hacket. An amazing high end spec instrument from those talented guys at Farida who produce many fine models for the major companies. It is a real exlusive as there were only 25 made and it's list price was just shy of £800 when new. It knocked the spots off the opposition at the time. It is a really nice easy playing 12 stringer that my wife bought me a few years back. I play mainly bass guitar now. Any trial welcome. The sales spiel: Created for the legendary Steve Hackett of prog-rock icons Genesis, the Farida D-5212E is an impressive 12 string dreadnought model which sits nicely at the top end of the Farida line-up. Used by Steve live, this 12-string is yet another Artist Designed model that will live on in the history books, as it is a highly limited edition run of just 25 pieces. The Farida D-5212E was thought up by using the awarding winning D-52E as a base model and adding some of Steve’s favourite elements. As a 12 string player for a number of years, Steve knew what he wanted and we delivered. There’s all solid-wood construction, using a solid sitka spruce top partnered with solid African mahogany back and sides. Both of these parts, and indeed all of the woods used on this model, are high-graded and therefore of the utmost quality. This means this guitar just doesn’t look good, it sounds amazing too. One of Steve’s essential requests was the inclusion of his favourite electronics system, the LR Baggs Element. We obliged, of course, and the result is incredible amplified sound. By using extremely sensitive parts this system is highly delicate, in a great way, to dynamics. This makes sure you have the truest sound possible that’s perfect for playing live or even quick and easy recording. The rest of the Farida D-5212E lines up just as well, with a mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard combination, a classic which provides serious comfort, especially considering that this is a 12-string guitar. D’addario strings feature too, the top choice for many players across all musical genres. The small details have been given just as much attention too, providing a luxurious feel. There’s a bone nut plus a 3-ply Ivory/Black/Mahogany binding. Although those features might not be the first thing to catch your eye, they really polish the whole experience off well.
