1. Pinball

SOLD

There should be more interest, it looks really nice GLWS
2. I've been flipping basses like crazy since last year and am now much happier. I'm now a Sandberg free zone which feels kind of strange. I'm not sure how many basses I can first in the car but i'm to going to bring along an LTD Surveyor 405 and one or more of these: Farida Hypersonic, Ibanez SR1300 Ibanez SR3005E should be in my hands by then too . Let me know if you have a preference.
3. It's more of a feeling of what seems right to me. I have a full time job so music is a hobby but my own guilt based restrictions are: If I'm out doing musical stuff more than a couple of nights in a row it feels wrong, same if I'm busy more than 4 times in a week However when I'm at home I just play music and write songs anyway and I sat through pretty much the whole of "Strictly come dancing" to spend some quality time with my wife I deserve to do whatever I want. Note: Am currently watching the voice.
4. If I was buying a fretless I would have this. I borrowed it for a while to see if fretless was for me. it handles beautifully and to my ear its one of the best sounding basses I have played.
5.
What is the width across the nut? Jazz style or Precision width? Cheers
Hi, not sure about measuring nuts but I think that is the distance between the two outside stings? If so that is 34mm
Any interest in my lovely medium-weight Marcus Miller Jazz?
Thanks for the interest Conan, its not for me. I know that is a lovely bass you have there as I remember having a look at it when I picked up that cab before Christmas. GL with your sale.
6. No longer on hold so................ bump! New trade offers added.
7.
I can't believe you're selling this before I've had a chance to play it! It looks fantastic
Thanks for all the nice comments. I'll drop it of overnight so you can give it a try if you like Mornats. It plays as well as the Umbo did (superb bass) with lots of cool tones and more active oomph. I think I want a "P" bass though.
8. haaha. That is the result of poor typing and eyesight. That is nothing compared to some of my texts I had better change it in case someone has a 3 string they want rid of.. It is nice, makes me want to buy it Thanks Philly
9. New Price £750 offers? Trades see below I traded my Umbo for this California recently as I wasn't using it and guess what? In not using this either. It's a real beauty in the unusual (discontinued?) colour of surf green. It plays as good as it looks and has a wide range of usable sounds. Overall the bass is in great condition and everything works as it should. I don't have scales but its not a heavy bass, probably about 9.5 ibs It has been gigged by the precious owner and you see from the pictures it has one knock wear mark on the body. In return for this marvelous bass I would like some money Trades? A 4 or 5 string bass, top of the range Ibanez, G&L Stingray, Yammy or similar with the following attributes: Some serious thump-leaning towards "P" rather than jazz 34" scale only Dark or strong colours preferred Must be light-medium weight-preferably under 9 lb or thereabouts. Nothing over-complicated please...I know me and I'd just fiddle with it rather than use it If you like Sandbergs and beauty this could be the one This bass is a babe

11. Well I'd keep the L2000 and the P as a back up. Also keep the Lakland for a while longer to see if you play it. Note: Peavy T40's aren't that rare and are heavy.
12.
Put myself and possibly Pinball down for it (providing we're free that weekend). I'll bring my Yamaha TRBX - I'm sure a few of you are keen to try those out and also my basses that I will have for sale (I'll pay the Basschat £20 selling fee before I go though.)
I'll take my Farida Hypersonic and maybe my Sandberg or Surveyor, depending on car space and what others are bringing
13. Keyboard player wanted to join a newly formed band for a developing project; writing, recording and gigging. We need a keyboard player to generate soundscapes as well as more traditional strings and lead lines. Enthusiasm counts over ability and vocals would help. Gear is not be an issue to begin with. This exciting new project is already producing interesting material in an alternative/industrial/rock/pop kind of style.
14. Thanks I'll bear all that in mind
15.
Yep, not a big fan of loose pedals. Plus the fact that the Whammy V is built like a tank - expecting the same from the Bass model.
As someone who is thinking moving on from my "built like a tank" Morley, the idea of solid build and no moving parts is defiantly worth a look.
16. Hope the link works. Can you see the birds? https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=732177180127212&set=a.161943097150626.37513.148172415194361&type=1&theater
17.
Having multiple basses always bother me. Not because I don't like the bass, is I always use the same bass for gig. This is because the band required that particular sound, so therefore that particular bass is always getting use.
I found this after spending a lot of time finding a nice bass with a tome that I loved, that sound just wan't right in the band. I now have a set up that I really like. Having said that if your a creative player then having a few nice instruments to play can inspire you to push the boundaries a bit. Nothing wrong with that
18.
I would use this order: wah, compressor, distortion, chorus, delay only cos I like to have option of untamed and tamed wah, and because compression works well in front of dirt pedals to keep it focussed. modulation stuff is usually best last in chain, because using wah or distortion on an already modulated signal can get a bit messy. however, if there are any rules, they're there to be broken....so I say juggle your set up and find what works best for you.
Thanks, that kind of fits with my ideal set up as I'm right footed so having the Wah on the right feels natural. All my pedals are true bypass (I forgot I also intend to get a tuner in there too). I'm still waiting for a couple in the post
19. Setting up a pedal board with Wah, distortion, Flashback 4x, chorus. Where do I put the compression? At the moment I'm thinking last but have yet to try it.
