1. I've just emailed them asking what set they'd like to do. I'll keep you posted.
2.
It's in London ATM. That's why there's so much going on with it
Not entirely true :-P as I'll have it down here with me next week.
3. Afternoon all, My band "Mr Big Stuff" have a gig booked for the bank holiday weekend on the Saturday. I can't make it as I've relay business to attend and desperately need a stand in. It's all funk, soul, disco covers and nothing too taxing. You'll even get paid too. The gig itself is at The Spotted Cow in Hunston, but the band come from and practice in Portsmouth. The set we've been doing is built up from all the tracks here - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLy1Sb-_0V2q0y-CsAOg5fRTr3ABy-x6YT though this gig is only an hours slot. Can anyone help me out? Cheers James
4.
You're right Silvia, it's the 'little people' who've achieved the money collected so far. I just hope the 'celebrity' involvement translates into cash.
It'd be fantastic if it does.
5. And on the same day as Mark King, I may have just got us Andrew Levy (Brand New Heavies).
6.
Also, don't forget that Lars Mullen is also working to make sure that the bass is played by Guy Pratt and Dave Swift some time in the next few weeks somewhere in London - let's keep that in mind too.
Yep, big thanks to Lars too. Ok, I'm going to need the bass on the 24th
7. Quite possibly Silvia, quite possibly. Yes, lets not forget that we all owe Donald a huge thanks for getting Rhino involved. It's opened a lot of doors for us.

9. Guys, if the bass isn't being used this weekend, I need it back. Bank Holiday weekend, I'll be meeting up with a Mr Mark King.
10. Well guys, I've just got off the phone to John "Rhino" Edwards, as most of you are aware, he got involved in the relay and signed the bass. However, he's taken things one step further. He's had a chat with his mates over at Status Graphite, and they've told John that they're up for getting involved. By the sounds of things, Status will be donating one of their fantastic basses, which John (and Status) will get all of the Status endorsers to Sign, before letting us auction it off for CRUK.
11. Oooooooooo just spoke to the PR/Management firm of a big name...and apparently it's highly likely that he (the bassist, not the PR bloke) will get involved :-D
12. As mentioned, the Justgiving target has been increased. Following on from how quickly the money was raised, let's see how long it takes us to reach £3000.
13. Any pictures of the gig or handover yet? I've not received any :-(
14.
It would be hilarious if you were absolutely fangirling
He just called me back...from the bath with a hilarious "oh bollocks...I've no shampoo"
A friend of mine just sent me a photo from an industry magazine. We got an article printed!
Picture?
15.
Thank you ,likewise.. I let our man know you'd contact him
Depends who you're on about :-p I tried calling Rhino just now but with no luck, so I'll try again later if poss.
16.
Really enjoying all these updates, and looking forward to what's yet to come!!
I bet you are :-p Was great chatting to you today.
17.
Bag of goodies , Leads and picks from KaBL, 3 x sets D'addario strings courtesy of Milty
You know the hat was a gift to you Pete, right?
18. Hopefully guys, there should be some more big news coming very, very soon.
19. Great news to see that it's moving again guys, well done. Also, Pete, how's the polo looking in respect of space for names on the back? Depending on how that's looking, I may have to ask Ped for an additional one. I imagine the log book should still have plenty of pages left in it. If either of those run out of space, we'll sort out a replacement, and I'll have the old ones sent here to go in the additional bits auction box.
20. hey matey, I don't need it, but if you want the space, I'll happily take it to free up space until someone wants it. In the mean time I'll give it a set up and a clean.
21.
Ok, I've sent 3 sets of D'Addario's finest off to Peter to throw in to the bass case. Change the strings as and when it's needed, and if a string company jumps on board with us, any sets of strings left over can be donated to the "We Need Strings" charity! I wouldn't think there would be any pilfering going on, but if anyone thinks a set of strings has gone amiss, you should probably let one of us know, just so we know, and maybe there's a perfectly good reason for it too (also please post if you restring the bass).
Nice one Milton.
22. Why not mod it and have it as a back up for the Ricky?
23. Dave, I remember chatting to someone a few weeks ago that wanted to start playing, but can't for the life of me remember who. As soon as it comes back to me, I'll put you in touch. James
24. I'm still surprised at how long they've lasted.
25. Schools buy strings these days? My old school's instruments only got strings replaced if pupils changed them themselves.
