1.
That's awesome, what a guy!
It is, and yes, he's fantastic, just hope he replies to me this time.
 2. My personal fav is the DOD FX25B. Dead simple, and a fantastic little pedal.
 3. Also, if the next user could state their preferred string type and gauge please. I'm going to contact Jason at Rotosound again as at LBGS he said he'd love to get involved with the relay by supplying a selection of string sets, but I've still not heard back. If I should have some luck this time, I'll need to know what set to prioritise.
 4. Muggington? Go careful :-p Also, how many members have used it so far/signed the T? Once it builds up I'll contact national press. Also (again), if anyone wants one (like me but a black one...medium size :-p), I'm sure if you ask Ped nicely, he'll be able to sort out an embroided polo like the one accompanying the baton. As a nice little personal momento and it'd also help the site.
 5.
It's not on a quest for awesomeness, it already had plenty to start off Jim too, it's a pretty awesome thing to donate a bass to, and organise this. Good on you, Mr Ryan!
Glad you think so and cheers for the kind words :-) I had another idea for when the relay comes to an end, but it'd be a logistical nightmare...a meet up and photo of everyone that's participated. Can't see that working though :-p
 6. If things keep going like this, we'll be at the £1000 mark in no time at all...of should I raise the bar? :-p
 7.
Oh my God! That's FANTASTIC!
Looking good ain't it.
 8.
Really? That's pretty cool! Is everyone getting attention form their local press? It could give the funds raised a real kick up the behind.
I've also just had it shared by a local promoter.
 9.
And there's a snippet in BGM about it!! With a pic of the esteemed Steve Lawson. And you can just about see Bluejay in the background!!! :-)
Is there? Pics?
 10. Problem sorted the page won't "expire" now until 5/4/15 Sorry about that guys.

 12. Anyone want a go with the baton?
 13.
yep get stuck in everyone , its a great cause and something bass wise to get involved in ed to add .. I am not sure there is a 'right ' gig for this thing , I think it is a momentum thing , and the sooner it gets a next gig the better , the money may trickle in, but if it gigs it creates and carries its own history , this will give it more heritage and a greater pulling power for the pennies , just keep it moving , don't let the grass grow
+1
 14.
Yeah, sorry Jim. I'd rather use it at a gig when I know they'll be loads of regular followers and get them to dig deep in their pockets It would also be good to get it advertised in advance and possibly get some local press coverage prior to the gig - is there a press information pack available to make this easier? Cheers Pete.
There isn't really. All I did was write to them with a brief description. The obscurity of it all and the fact it's for CRUK kinda compelled them to get involved. From there it was a phone call where I went in depth and and email supplying links to this thread and the Facebook page. So no real press pack as such. Though, with how well it's going so far, give it a few more hand overs and I'll contact national press (the sun's always up for a charity campaign). I do urge all members involved (and to be involved :-p) to contact their local papers though. After all, it's all good publicity right?
 15.
I've just emptied the collection boxes, and counted £91.47! Not a bad result at all I'll pop down to the bank tomorrow, then send a payment to the justgiving page.
Bloody hell...nice work guys.
 16.
Well done Chris , it might be aswell to empty the tins and send a payment to the justgiving page to cover the contents , though check with Jim first I guess . Has anyone stepped up for the next one ?
Yes, nice work Chris, hope you've enjoyed your time with the bass. This is a good idea RE the collection boxes. If you don't mind sitting down and counting them out that is. I wonder where it'll head to next...
 17.
Can you afford to go Barefaced? Fraction of the size/weight, one will be loud enough for absolutely anything but probably twice the cost of a BC212. It's unlikely you'll want for anything else. Ever.
I've heard nothing but good news about barefaced, but there's no way I'd be able to afford one just yet and I've been promising myself for a while now and love the idea of a TC rig. Still really need to try barefaced stuff though.
 18. I recently insured all my gear. Everything I have, worldwide including unattended vehicles, with £1,000,000 public liability. Comes to about £80 for the year, but much cheaper without the public liability. Got all mine through Allianz after seeing them at LBGS.
 19. I reckon I'll start with one, and see how it goes. I like the idea of two. We are loud, but we Taylor our volume to the venue. We play a lot of pubs, but get the occasional wedding and function (would defo need two there). The 410 was something I considered, but I'd rather opt for the two separate cabs, that way if its a small venue, I'm not taking as much. Cheers for the input though guys, keep it coming.
 20. Morning all, sorry it's been a while, As some are aware, I'm currently using a TC BH250 and running through a ghetto home-made cab. A cab which I've had a few problems with recently. Now that it's rebate time, I thought its a good idea to invest in a decent cab/s. I'm eyeing up the TC BC212, just tried it in the shop and love it. My question is, on it's own, are they loud enough? Or do they really need the additional cab (which I'd opt for the 210). In the shop it sounds loud enough, but I'm putting that purely on it was at head height and the mids are much clearer. Whilst playing I put it up to half volume and walked away and it was loud, but it was stacked in the shop. I'm thinking it might be quieter at floor level. It might help to mention that I'm playing in a bass led funk/soul band, heavy drummer, loud keyboard, even louder guitarist and with two saxophones. I really want the TC cabs to match the head, but is one enough? Cheers James
 21. Is it worth getting the drummer to use rods?
 22. Awesome. Feel free to add it to the FB page and I'm sure Kev will update the map too.
