1.
Looks like the baton will be in my greasy mitts today!
Woo!
 2. £150!?! My rebate best get here quick. At that price, I'm tempted by both.
 3.
That's good knowledge (if not a little weird) right there. Certainly better than using lighter fuel or white spirit; tastes better too.
The reason I tried it, was because I couldn't get any lighter fluid that day. Was gonna try it, no shops were selling it and found peanut butter in the cupboard. Admittedly I was a bit sceptical at first, but it actually worked.
 4.
what! get out!? ordered the camera mount thing now so we will see
I was the same when I got told it. Eventually caved and tried it. Put a bit on, leave for a few mins, rub of with [decent] kitchen roll, then polish as normal.
 5. Could be after one of the 212's shortly
 6.
Gaffa tape; not pretty to look at, but pretty effective.

thing is i dnt wanna have all that sticky crap on my bass after i take it of so i might try and find a mic clip
The sticky stuff comes off now problem. Peanut butter. Also works on normal sticker residue.
 7. Would you be willing to split?
 8. I often find that I'll play it but not know what it is. I've learnt something one way, started playing and my hands play it another way altogether.
 9. Watched the series recently and really enjoyed it myself. Apparently they were playing too as they were all taught by matey from Fountains of Wayne.
 10. I'd love to have a go at this and have previous experience with Chinese visas, my only problem is my backing vocals aren't THAT strong.
 11. As per my last comment. Really interested, just struggle with BV's
 12.
Sounds good! This bass might come out the end of this thing working better than when it started!
I'd hazard a guess at it being better than when I first got it.
 13. Glad you guys enjoyed yourselves last night. Love the pictures too. Steve, I think it's awesome how your old band are on board with this too. I'm pleased everyone's having a good time with this. No donations yet Kev (I get emailed every time someone does :-p) but I'm sure once they've woken up and got past any hangovers they will. Once again, Cheers guys

 16. Awesome. Don't forget all the pictures and to dish out the justgiving link/text options, the BC links and any Facebook details. We're doing good guys.
 17. Awesome!?! Including Kev's gig, the next 3 are planned.
 18.
How about something like this. "The BassChat bass relay is coming to YOU!" *blurb in regular sized writing* *Date and venue in big bright font* I should do this for a living.
Sounds good. My local paper did a piece, but they decided against using the barcodes or links and instead just made up they're own story (very) loosely based on what I sent them.
 19.
Big +1 to this. It needs as much publicity as possible, because to be honest, £75 is pretty shocking. How many gigs has it done now? 4/5? I'm not pointing the finger or blaming anybody at all, but it just needs more publicity to draw in money. Make it a bit of a spectacle to draw in the crowds.
Exactly. Hopefully, payday bank holiday weekend should work in our favour.
 20. Also, could all participants consider contacting their local press. Where's it's a relatively quirky idea, they tend to like it. It'll help raise awareness and in turn, hopefully raise some more donations.
 21.
Excellent news ,we have people queing for it now Latest from me is that Vinny has been in contact and will happily take it on next and I have tentatively given him the OK ,though I am not sure he can attend on thursday, or what his gig diary is like, but I will point him to the thread now and get his input with regard the other kind offer from Steve . Kev
Awesome. It's fantastic watching this come along (as I'm sure many will agree). It really is great seeing people queuing for this. Let's raise loads guys
 22. I thought you was on about the old classifieds site "pompeymusic" for a minute there :-P
 23.
Is there any interest locally to get involved ? I have emailed the 3 closest on the contacts list , Runcorn , Middlewich and Flint , and had no response , come one boys and girls , there are definately a few gigging players around Chester , Wirral and N Wales , step up and take it on , be a part of it, there will be no relay without players to pass it on to. There are Jam nights to play at if thats all you can get to , it doesn't matter , just play a song and pass it on .
+1 Come on guys, step up to the plate, don't be shy. Lurksalot will only bite if you want him to.
