1. Ok, we've had bass threads, amp threads, rig threads, effects threads, collection threads, etc How about your gig ready, life in a box (or bag) thread. Your hard case/gigbag and it's contents as if its ready to go. I.E my hard case and life in a box: Bass, strap, tools, head, ear plugs, sponge (for dampening), tuner, leads (various), scales book (just in case), beers (just in case), spare strings (under head) and I believe that's everything.
2. Nope, they've disappeared again.
3. It's national microphone day . . . 121212
4. Na, I reckon it would be ok, got it all figured out, but in practice, it might be a different story all together
5. Well, I'm not yet. I'm on my little quest to get everything (bar the cab) gear wise to fit in one case. My bass, head, leads, strap, tuner and tools all fit in it a the moment and I'm happy with that. Lately though, I've started to miss being fretless. I wouldn't de-fret my bass, but was thinking of de-fretting a spare jazz neck so I could change it if I wished to do so. From there I would get a case that could accommodate the whole lot including the "spare" neck. Was just a thought really. Don't want a second bass, I'm happy with just one and the one case that holds everything and thought maybe the spare neck idea might work. Changing them isn't that hard a task and gives me a bit more variety to an already versatile instrument.
6. Morning all, Been thinking of a few things this morning, One being about bass storage. If I stored a bass with the neck off, would the neck be ok? I'd like to think it would as there would no longer be any tension on it, or would the lack of tension and stress do more harm than good? Cheers, James

Any takers? I'm sure one of you lot would love to get yourself this for xmas :-P
9. I took the Duncan design pickup out of my VM. They're ok, stock (ish) sound really. I replaced it with a SD quarter pounder. Then added a ceramic MM bucker. So all in all, couldn't compare it to a MIM precision sound, but SD pickups are awesome.
10. It's a squier VM. I wanted a matching headstock and prefer the large fender decal.

Nothing I really fancy matey, but try me.
12. Hi guys. As I posted earlier in the week, I've kinda got in with a new band. I'm going in with a very incubus S.C.I.E.N.C.E, approach bass wise. For more inspiration, can anyone recommend me a heavy-Ish (nothing too heavy) album, with very funky bass involved to help inspire me. I've a broad knowledge of music and would rather nothing to well known. Something obscure that isn't massive and would be quite refreshing. I'm afraid I've not got a favourite song/bassline to post today, just really feeling minor keys this evening and want some inspiring suggestions to lift the mood. Ta

So am I Paul. So am I.
14. Steve's a great guy, a pleasure to deal with and now the owner of my old amp. He's bloody prompt and efficient too. Would deal with him again without hesitation.

16. Would also trade for a TC electronic switch-3 footswitch
17. Steve G - so far, yes. Gary Mac - you won't be disappointed, cut the mids slightly, a touch of bass, and the treble on 3 o'clock and you're away. Love mine so much I'm tempted to add a jazz QP at the neck as a "stealth" PU just to add that little extra. Sifi2112 - Cheers dude.
18. Using a TC elec BH250. I'd love to get a 2x10, but right now could only afford a donated one.

How about trying this one tom?
20. Morning all, Need some help, I'm currently using my DIY 1x15. It's great and all, but lacks that little bit of high end clarity. So this got me thinking. At home I have a spare Ibanez practice amp. Just a little "10w" model. If I had a crossover made up, could I fit this little driver in with the 1x15, and use it like a tweeter just to help the highs come through. Would this work?
