1. I recently bought a used set of TI flats from Paul without any hassle at all. Easy communication, well packed, sent quickly. Who could ask for more. Cheers Paul
2. Impeccable service from Dave recently after an issue developed with an instrument cable I bought 18 months or so ago. I could not be happier with the outcome. What a gentleman. Merry Christmas one and all
3.
-------------------------------------------------- Anyone else in the Carlisle / North Cumbria area should definitely visit Dave at DEV Engineering. --------------------------------------------------
What a useful thread :-) Has anyone come across Dave England lately;? The contact form on his website doesn't seem to work. Nor does an email address I found for him, or the phone number. I live 10 mins drive from his last known address and need an amp looked at but it seems he's nowhere to be found.
4. I recently bought a Sandberg PJ5 from walbassist. The whole transaction was totally hassle free from start to finish. Great communication with quick, friendly and informative replies to emails. I paid for the bass on Saturday, collection was booked on Monday and the bass arrived on Wednesday well packed and exactly as described, with spare strings, tools and even a set of strap locks (thanks Gareth. Not sure if you meant to include the strap locks. If you need them back just let me know and I can send them). Very happy. Trade with total confidence.
5. I just bought a B7K from PauBass. The whole transaction was completely hassle free with great communication and prompt and friendly replies to messages. I paid for the pedal on Sunday, it was sent on Monday and arrived on Tuesday exactly as described and so well packed I had to fight to get into the parcel I'd definitely buy more gear from this gentleman. Trade with confidence. Thanks Pablo
6.
Love those Sandberg basses as well. Those relic'd ones look particularly tasty Cheers.
With off topic apologies... 7.
That is a thing of beauty, TE got it very right with the V series.
Indeed they did. I have a V6 (carpeted ) which is the lovelyest of all the decent amps I've owned, Peavy, Other Trace stuff, SWR, Ampeg, EA. Beautiful tone. Not sure how the V4 compares to the V6 but it got to be sweet sounding. Get it while you can folks.
8.
Lovely bass. Do yourself a favour, stand it in a corner on a stand and throw your door keys at it. You'll cry for a bit and die a little inside (most of us do) but then you'll have a great bass to take on tour, worry free.
With you on that one. The first cut is always the deepest but I'm always a bit relieved when it happens. After that you can stop worrying and just enjoy playing something special. Nice looking beast and I'm sure it sounds lovely. Have an 'I'd be tempted but I've just bought a Sandberg PJ5' style bump
9. PM sent... No make that email sent.
10.
Hi, is the B7K still available?
I was wondering that too. PM me?
11. Ah, they're just lovely. I have a Consat 5 string custom. I also have an Overwater J and a Lakland J Skyline. I think the Marleaux sounds the nicest of all three. It's the one bass I own I don't think I'd ever sell.
12. Ok, thanks. Yes some more photos might help. It's just the way the lettering looks makes the pedal look as though it's been bashed about a bit although I'm sure everything works as it should.
13. Tempting. PM sent
14. Looks to have been well used. Is it fully working. Are you open to offers?
15. Ha, ok, thanks. Saved me a few quid there :-)
16. I've been looking at these with a view of using one on my active basses but I've been told they are more intended for passive instruments and will not make much difference to an active. Does anyone have any experience of using one on an active bass? Did it make a vast improvement?
17.
Why don't you make it your mission to own all the Vintage Ts ever made? Now there is a noble calling...
Ah ha, yes, why indeed. If there really are only three available it shouldn't be too hard.
Do you use the pad on the tweeter? Probably best just getting a plain vintage and turning the tweeter up, maybe its already padded some, two separate tweeters will make a mess.

They were discontinued in favour of the Super 15 because that wasn't the case.
Yes, I'd though about a Super 15 as well. I don't use a lot of the tweeter so the one in the Vintage would be more than enough. If I had two Vintages I could always just disconnect one tweeter but then I might as well get a Super 15. Something about the idea of two matching cabs still appeals though.
18. I have a Vintage T Sitting under my Trace Elliot V6, a superb combination in every respect except the weight of the amp. I have the crazy idea of experimenting with running another Vintage T alongside. The overkill potential is high I know but what the hell...? So I was looking around for a second hand cab and read somewhere there were very few made, the number 3 comes to mind. Are there really only 3 of these cabs in existence? If so, and if V6s were also quite limited in numbers (100?) I seem to have quite a rare set up. Two vintage Ts would make it quite something.
19. Bump! Or within reasonable distance. Any recommendations would be welcomed.
20.
Am I the only one who practices unplugged?
Apparently it's the best way to develop good techniques.
21.
Do you Jam throught the walls? I've always lived next to noisy kids who play dance music all night long (no matter where i move to apparently) so we take it as read that we cannot complain about each others noise. It is good.
I'd take my gear next door and jam there if she was any good. Sadly though she's not.
22. Like Lozz says, it's just give and take. Hopefully your neighbours will be as considerate as you obviously are. Presumably you have a stereo of some kind and play music on that. If you keep the bass amp down to a similar level, keep your playing to sociable hours and maybe take some precautionary measures to isolate vibrations you'll probably be ok. I forget how fortunate I am. I have my own house, terraced semi detatched, My neighbour has a drum kit and we operate on a live and let live basis. It's only a shame she can't play it better.
23. http://www.bassic-bits.co.uk/ Recommended for quality and service and not too pricey. See OBBMs feedback on here to see what others think.
