Thanks I've turned my attention to Mustangs now, having discovered more about both models. I'm aware I'm probably going to end up spending over the odds in terms of value bass for money, but I'd rather have a bass I consider cool and pretty as I'm 100% more likely to want to use it!

However, I do have something to sell... but more trying to get ideas as to what it's worth culturally as well as value, AND if anyone even knows/cares about it enough to even want to buy it... It's a Dan Armstrong from 74. dood advised me post it in the other equipment section. I'm considering selling it to get a Mustang or Musicmaster bass, hence my beginning this post. so on and so on.     This guitar is a 1974 Dan Armstrong Electric Guitar, it has a sliding pickup. Pictures below. I'd like to sell this guitar as it rarely gets use. My knowledge of this guitar is all from [url="http://www.danarmstrong.org/londonguitar.html"]http://www.danarmstr...ndonguitar.html[/url]. It's an interesting read if nothing else. The serial number ([u][b]4465[/b][/u]) suggests, according to the website, that it was built in the [b][u]4[/u][/b]th quarter of 197[u][b]4[/b][/u] and was the [b][u]65[/u][/b]th one made in that quarter. This guitar is a very rare, interesting and specific item, so anyone who finds it on here probably already knows about it.     Oh wow. I wasn't expecting such swift responses...Thank you again. I do adjust and setup my own guitars. So I'm happy to take on that responsibility. I've never bought a Fender before and usually go for much older instruments, mainly for my belief that older things are somehow "cool"!

    So, I'm new to Basschat. My friend "dood" recommended I put the feelers out on Basschat, with regard to Fender Musicmaster basses. I really want a shortscale bass as I've not got enormous hands. There's a Fender Musicmaster bass on eBay that ends its auction tonight at 9pm! So if anyone with any knowledge of these basses sees this in time, any feedback would be ace! My main question is, does it look like a genuine, original condition Fender USA? I'm aware that it looks a little "done in", but I actually quite like that. Also, I'm also expecting (if and when I bid) for it to sell for around £350. Does this seem like a reasonable price to you?
