1. Hi there. Is this bass still for sale? If so would you be able to post some larger pictures please? I can only see the thumbnails. Thanks.
2. Interesting that the string gauge is quite light - Strings: Rotosound RS66LB (35, 55, 70, 90) I wonder if that points at a higher action, presumably how Cliff had it set up.
3. Post-New-Year bump.
4. Pre-New-Year bump.
5. I believe it's a standard ReBop nut width of 1.64" (according to the Spector site) but I'll measure it tonight and confirm.
6. Post-Christmas bump.
7. Pre-Christmas bump.
8. A couple of people have asked so just to clarify, this is an INSPIRATION bass, not a Tanglewood built ASPIRATION. This is a 100% Overwater bass, as described here - http://overwaterbasses.com/basses/inspiration/
9. Thanks for the good wishes Morning Star. longtimefred - I apologise for the poor answer I'm probably about to give as I always struggle to articulate what a bass sounds like. I've never played a Musicman so can't make a comparison. I also haven't played any other Spectors so can't make a comparison there either. However... with the tone pump, if I turn up the bass and leave the treble down relatively low I find that I get a really nice warm, beefy, blues tone when playing with fingers, which is handy as I happen to be playing a lot of blues. Mind you, when messing around, if I dial up the treble and play with a pick I'm able to get a much more shimmery metal tone. I tended to leave the pickup in single-coil mode as the dual-coil mode could sound a little boomy, not unbearably so, but I live in a studio flat so have to think of my neighbours!
10. Thanks. I have an Overwater Inspiration Deluxe 5-string and a Spector ReBop 4 MM for sale on this forum. Would you consider a trade?
11. Hi Bassdude, my hope is to have both but if that doesn't work out, you'll be the first to know.
12. Hi. So I'm GASing badly for a Zon Sonus 5/2 to go with my 4/2 which means some basses have to go to build up some funds. Here for sale is my Spector ReBop 4 MM in matte trans blue stain. It's only 3 months old and has been rarely played. As such it's as good as new with not a mark on it and no visible signs of wear. Also included is a Spector branded gig bag. I'm looking for £800. Of course if you have a Zon Sonus 5/2 I'd happily consider a trade. Thanks for your interest.
13. Hi. So I'm GASing badly for a Zon Sonus 5/2 to go with my 4/2 which means some basses have to go to build up some funds. Here for sale is my Overwater Inspiration Deluxe 5-string in tobacco burst. It's only 6 months old and has been rarely played. As such it's as good as new with not a mark on it and no visible signs of wear. Also included is an Overwater branded Hiscox hard shell case. I'm looking for £1000. Of course if you have a Zon Sonus 5/2 I'd happily consider a trade. Thanks for your interest.
14. Hi there. Can you please give some more detail about the "marks here and there"? I see from one of the photos there are some chips on the headstock but how about the rest of the bass? Could you perhaps post some photos of any other noticeable marks? Also, have you had any mods done, like the addition of a trussrod? Thanks.
15. Thanks for the confirmation guys. So the ramp is non-adjustable, apart from on or off? Does it sit flush with the fingerboard and pickup? Springere, I'd be grateful if you could email me the pics please. I'll PM you my address. Cheers.
16. Hi there. I was wondering if this bass is still for sale? Also, how does the GWB1 differ from the current 1005? I'm having trouble digging up any specs. Thanks.
17. Hi. Is this bass still for sale? I'm not in a position to buy right now but could be in the new year.
18. It's funny but over the weeks and months that I've been trying to sell the Zon I've found myself playing it more and more so I've decided I'm going to hold onto it for the time being. I may well try and sell it again in the future but I think right now I'd miss it too much if I got rid of it.
