1. Chaz bought my Punch factory pedal. Great guy to deal with, very quick and easy transaction. Cheers mate!
2. Gotta love that retroactive Mert! Still wan't one after all this time.
3. My guitarist has asked me to put his amp up on here as he has acquired an endorsement. If you have a guitarist or you are a [s]closet guitarist[/s] bassist looking for a badcat amp then look no further!! "I am gutted to be selling this hand built class A boutique amp! I've recorded with it (www.facebook.com/skinnymachines) and toured with it for just over a year and it has been a pleasure. However having now acquired a new amp endorsement I can no longer use this amp and really need the cash for the gear budget. So regretfully I am putting this amp up for sale with a hard case, the footswitch and user manual. I can honestly say that this amp's tone is unique and has some seriously good reviews across the board. Please see the numerous links for video demonstrations and setting suggestions this amp is truly a beast! I bought this amp from Guitar Amp & Keyboard in Brighton and for the full price (£2,300) and have new valves in the amp thanks to my tech. Electro Harmonics for the 7! 12AX7 preamp valves and 2 Ruby power valves for that dark tone." The concept and function of the HOT CAT is new, unique, and unlike any model ever designed by Mark Sampson. For what amounts to a medium price all Class A amp, the HOT CAT offers a wide range of sounds from CLEAN to controllable and unusually fat HI-GAIN. Additional features, included only on the HOT CAT, extend useful versatility to both its intelligent front end and potent power section. THE NEW HI-GAIN CLASS A STANDARD: The 12AX7 based preamp affords some overdrive loading if desired via the CLEAN input tap as well as sweep control of the clearly emphasized overdrive employed with the alternate HI-GAIN input tap. Control knobs include: CLEAN VOL, GAIN, EDGE, LEVEL, BASS, TREBLE, BRILLIANCE, MASTER VOL. Overdrive and general tone character can range from smooth to a controllable edge with more punch. Sound is shaped both with panel controls and via selecting either tube rectification or the included solid state rectifier circuit with the latter SS position favoring a harder edge, less compression, and more sustain. In brief, (a) the degree of overdrive content ( overdrive edge © compression and (d) attack / decay envelope are easy to tailor to taste. Finally, even the rectifier tube circuit will accept 3 different types of tubes; each exhibiting slightly different response characteristics. The power section uses dual EL34 tubes to support continuous, very thick overdrive speaker power and a strong reserve of clean headroom. In contrast to other Class A models to date, as regards extraordinary sound possibilities, the HOT CAT runs appreciably ahead of the pack. Specifications: * 2 channels * reverb * External Speaker Out * Controls: Channel 1: Clean Volume,Tone reverb Brilliance * Channel 2 : Gain, Edge, Level, Bass, Treble, Brilliance, Master Volume * Power: 30 watts via 2 x EL34 * Class A * handbuilt in the USA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQdGRkpyMos...player_embedded (METAL) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHcdc0GETgU...feature=related (BLUES - combo version) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTiaEkO6AGI...feature=related (CLEAN - combo version) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S10X8VqyQYE...feature=related (BRAD WHITFORD - Review) Rikki Glover London SW16 07917 400 943 Skinny Machines
4. Thanks for all the interest but this cab is now SOLD! Cheers Dave, hope you enjoy the cab as much as I did!!
5. Thanks for all the interest but this is now sold!!
6. Sorry mate, cash is king at the moment. Thanks for the offer though.
7. Great valve distortion pedal with a couple of wicked features built in it; low pass and high pass filters and built in compression to name a few. It's in near mint condition considering its constant use through my European tour and comes with a 12v power supply. No box or manual, however using this pedal isn't rocket science... Visit the Mark bass website to read full specs on the pedal HERE. No trades i'm afraid as I need the cash at the moment. Looking for £110 posted Mike.
8. Still up for sale people! Any takers?
9. Or £6 if you quote Skinny machines at the door
10. Hi all, this evening im playing at the 229 Venue thats right outside Great Portland Street Station. Would be great for any BC'ers to come along. It's going to be quite a big night and it's the bands last till we leave for tour in Switzerland! Come along, tickets are £8 Mike
11. Withdrawn from sale. Thanks for looking.
12. Thanks for the support guys, it's really going to be a fantastic year! So I had my first official gig with the band, on Wednesday at 93 Feet East. Was a good laugh, although there was no bass rig... and having my bass d.i straight into the p.a. sounded awful through the monitors!! Apparently it sounded good from the crowds point of view but so I guess the engineer did a good job. In the pipeline we got a bunch of photo shoots coming up for promo stuff and a months tour to Switzerland in March! Very excited about all this, I need to step up my game BIG TIME! Right, back to learning a thousand new songs... haha
13. I think it's about time I chimed in on this. I applied for an audition after having seen the add on a different website, and ended up getting the position! I'm now the new Skinny machines bass player and have my first gig tomorrow! It's in Shoreditch at the 93 Fleet East. If anyone fancys coming down/up to it there more than welcome! It's going to be an exciting year for considering iv come straight out of uni, playing with a lot of 'bedroom bands' and people who are not really interested in touring as such, and finally in a band that actually is going to be touring for the majority of the year! Iv got a LOT of songs to learn in such a short amount of time, but I can see it being more than worth it! Plus, despite whats been said on this topic they are really great bunch of guys and it's going to be an absolute pleasure working with them.
14. Im not too sure about the wizardry behind ohms and bass equipment, however my markbass ta503 amplifier runs at either 300W at 8 ohms or 500W at 4 ohms and iv only used that amp on this cab. Works absolutely fine, although maybe if you using a higher powered watt amplifier with very different ohm ratings, then problems might happen. I.e. 1500w amps at 16ohms maybe... Hopefully someone might be able to chime in and explain a little as I have no idea really
15. Im selling my Mark bass 6x10 as I have had to downsize my rig to a 4x10 for touring. Condition wise its in very good nick and comes with casters. For the full specs about this cab, visit the Mark bass website (106HF) More photos can be taken on request, Looking for £650 Collected. Can post or drive 1/2 way if needed. Mike.
