1.
2004 Fender CIJ '62 RI, bought off Lee650 on here some time ago Upgraded tuners, CTS pots, PIO tone cap, Seymour Duncan SPB-1 'Vintage' pickup, covers added.... otherwise standard Strung with La Bella flats. Its not a heavy bass; a nice weight & a lovely neck to play - a good bass for long gigs.
Its earlier incarnation, i couldnt resist it

3. Ive just put some chromes on my jazz (used to have some on a P bass i had) as i have a lot of shows coming up that require that thumpy DB tone,(not that it will sound anything like a DB )and as much as i love the sound of flats on a recording, i realy cant get on with the dark, indistinct sound they make live, its not a bad sound just not for me, a nice set of worn sunbeams can get plenty of warmth.
4. actually just had another look and the MOP dots on the fingerboard are an extra option and is the top upgraded? bump for a lovely bass if i had the money i,d take your arm off, i miss my smith greatly!!!
5. I Had one of these for a while but was forced to sell it best 5 string ive ever had it was amazing, what are the extra options on this bass?

16.
Hi - this has literally just been sold and is now at a fantastic home! Thanks for the interest.
About bloody time too!! a lovely bass
17. I had one of these a while ago,i really regret selling it, great bass for the money, going at a very good price too, shame im skint!!! bump
18. If i had the cash id take your arm off mate, absolutely stunning, after years of only buying fretless jazzes i think my next foray will be with a stingray, great colour, as my 2 year old daughter just remarked "ooohhh thats very red" nuff said big bump!!
19. yeah they are both mexican, the duff is a reproduction of the old japenese jazz special which has a no scratchplate P bass body P/J pickups and has a jazz neck, the roger one looks like a 7o,s syle so will have a chunkier P bass neck, they both look great but id get the Duff!!! better still hang on for an original jazz special to come up, they will be far superior im sure, there was a lovely red one on sale on here a while ago i really wanted it!!!
20. just think you,d pay a bit over 3k for a CS pino or suchlike and will be reliced to look worse than this!! bargain, ive never hankered after a vintage fender but i want this!!!
21. You are right the term "keeper" is used a lot, i have an 82 squire jazz i bought it when i was 19 so ive had it 18 years next month, ive used it everywhere, mind you it did spend a few years under my bed at my mums while i travelled and gigged away as i was using various yamahas and warwicks, but these days its gettin plenty of use, it is a "keeper" i will never sell it and ive never even thought of selling it!! It must ba a basschat GAS term as i never suffered too much from gas while i was a pro player i had what i liked and used them for quite a while till something interesting came along(not that often), as soon as i got a normal job 4 years ago i had evenings to myself and joined basschat and ive been through loads of basses not as many as some mind , but my faves have been a musicman sterling (a keeper) until a ken smith came along and that definately was a keeper, i only sold it due to financial bother, if i didnt need to i would have used it for a very long time. now i have a very lovely spector. a keeper? im not sure the jurys still out but i doubt it, too much GAS!!!!!!. very happy at the moment though!! Ido know where my sterling and smith are though and i will have them back
22. really nice, i played a warwick streamer jazzman5 for years and always wished for a NT version id love a full on PNUT but the price is just too much!!, these look good though, although just a version of the jazzman with SD pickups, not what i expected i really just want a stage 1 with MM/J pickups a great combo!!
23. i thought it might have been set to self destruct- seriously though this thread has made my morning i nearly spat y coffee over the screen!! very funny, there is a small place in hell reserved for people who use mobile phones during gigs, woodwind players are terrible for it, sat in the pit between numbers texting away it drives me mad!! especially when it makes that ticking sound through my amp
