Warwick Streamer 5 String. Stage 2. **SOLD**
lee650 replied to phsycoandy's topic in Basses For Sale
These streamers are simply amazing, im a massive streamer fan and the one time i tried one of these( i always either had the bolt on lx versions or the stage 1,s) i loved the growl, the afzelia body really does add some lovely growly mids, i would love one of these myself ( a 4 though, ive already got a fantastic spector 5) and those warwick cases are pretty sturdy ( ive got one), massive bump for a steal of a bass -
Bassdrobe, the real one Keeps them out of harm's way while being easily accessible too. Lots of basses in a small space means I don't hear about it from the missus too.
I still love this, but i dont have enough basses to justify it
Beautiful! Is that an ebony fingerboard, or is that just the bright sunshine making it look darker than it really is?
The CT streamers did actually feature an ebony fingerboard, if the chromes your thing this is a fantastic oppertunity as they are discontinued IIRC, i used to have a bolt on streamer lx fantastic basses If your in a disco tribute band you NEED this bass, in fact i want it

I saw i BGM a review of a bass by kramer, it had an EMG musicman humbucker and 2 band EQ with a seperate piezo slightly out of budget at about £350 ish but a hell of a lot of bass for the money, you may get one cheaper if you wave some notes about or look for one used, but for £250 you,d be as well off getting a squire CV and getting a used circuit on here, theres always a couple floating about!

"These pickups will fit as replacements for Bartolini™ P 2 ( 5 string ) pickups . Dimensions are 4 . 25 " by 1 . 25 ". Standard spacing is 19 mm ctc at the bridge ." Cheers G
unfortunately too long for my spector these would be great in it!!!

i had some EMG JV jazz pickups (the ones with the polepieces) very warm sound with a pronounced midrange, i believe modulus used them for their jazz basses, not sure if his has the EMG,S but bubinga 5 has one, and i think nordstrand do a darker sounding jazz pickup
+1 to this....These do look really good. How do you know they are doing them in mint green???
i went on their website and it showed them in both colours, anyone have any idea howmuch these are going to be, i think ill have to buy one of each and swap the necks round, and poss defet the RW one, mint green with a maple neck i have to have one (£1600 for the proper one is never going to happen for me) mind you if your going to need to get a nordstrand(fantastic by the way, my old sterling had one) and an east you may as well buy a full on ray classic.!!

I have my eye on one of his white spectors and the black jackson kip winger!!! -
neck and fingerboard will be Wenge on a 97 model you can tell from the pics and the body will be solid flame maple(maybe not flame on this one due to the finish)i had a 98 model in emerald green i absolutely loved it, very slim playable neck ( not the cricket at ovangkol ones) and the wenge had more growl i sold mine to buy a streamer stage1 and it was nowhere near as good as the lx. the black hardware wasnt usual either or the hi gloss finish, a cracking bass youve got there, very nice indeed, i would dearly love to get my old green one back (that had some battle scars i can tell you) early LX,s are amazing basses- bump

Ive been boiling for as long as ive been playing (20years) a guy at college who played keys and basstold me about it, ive always used a bit of washing up liquid (smells nicer than vinegar, i even have a seperate pan for boiling dont want to use my circulons ) and quite early on i decided to use strings which didnt have windings (d,addarios or DR,s) as the silk always perishes works a treat but not for long, ive never heard of the oven thing i will try it!!! mind you im going to put some fresh high beams on my spector for a rock gig tomorrow night, YUMMY!!!
