Hi Everyone After buying a fretless i couldnt really afford and needing a high quality gigbag for my new Ken Smith, ive reluctantly decided to move this on, i bought this a few months ago and have used it on a couple of shows and it sounded great, its a CIJ 62 reissue fender precision in fiesta red, made in 2004 it features a lightweight basswood body, tinted maple neck with a very nice rosewood fingerboard, the previous owner fitted new CTS pots and jack socket (as per USA Fenders) and a kent armstrong hot vintage pickup, so has much nicer electronics than the standard Export Jap Fenders. It has recently been set up by Phil Hartley in Bolton and has been fitted with a set of D, addario chromes flatwounds (105-50) so plays great and sounds very warm and woody, the best thing about it is the neck its a lovely comfortable C shape and perfect for little fellas like myself who find Precision necks a bit too manly it has a lovely grain to it and i dont have to wax too much on the quality of these japanese Fenders. The condition is very good it has a couple of dings one at the back which cant be seen and a very small one on the neck joint, it will ship with a decent gigbag. Just gorgeous, i love the infinitys, and id really be drooing if it was a 5, its the only thing id get rid of my smith for!! bump for a piece of art!!!

I know I know The allure of a ken smith was too much!!! this is an amazing bass, it was very difficult to let this go, but wasnt getting the use it deserved its sound was only suited to certain things IMO ( when i did use it, i got bloody noticed) would like this back eventually, gutted josh didnt like it but hey ho. the official colour designation is cherryburst dated 3/2/2003, big bump for a bass which i think has now gone so a bit moot, josh is a top guy to deal with and i think "rita" is becoming a basschat bike i love the ken smith though, very happy josh!!! im sure its new owner will be very pleased - all the best - lee

Aye mate backing track far too loud drowning the bass tone far too much, can hear enough to know its some tasty playing though, and a lovely sound

Still fancy a trade on a diffrent 5 string, let me know what you have, would like fender jazz(pref maple board), musicman stingray(rosewood Twin pickup) any lakland skyline WHY PS the pics do not do this bass justice i need a better camera!!! if youve owt interesting giz a PM - LEE
