Hi there!! When i bought my WAV i tried it through a littlemark 2 through a markbass 2x10 and it sound really nice the warmth of the littlemark really complements the high end of the piezo, it can sound a bit harsh through certain amps, i use an eden wt 550 and it sounds great but i have to turn the tone control right down to get that warm thud i like, ive never used a bow i meant to get one and learn but i never got around to it, ill be honest ive only gigged it a couple of times and there were a few flat notes, im fine just playing but if im sight reading with it, im a bit out at times . I must say i was very lucky when i got mine it came wih the same stand that comes with the CRM models, so ive not had any bother, i do think id like the endpin for though so i can sit down , i do fancy getting a five string CRM5 though i think they are fantastic. If like me your a fairweather upright bassist, the WAV is the way to go - all the best - lee

Fantastic to see you on here, do you remember picking me up from gateshead metro station ( still nothing untoward, apparently his kerb crawling days are over) to fix a broken tuner on my ibanez musician, i was a pup of 18 then, and you kept my basses tip top for years after that, especially as i would usually turn up ask you to fix em in a week then id bugger off on a cruise or whatever the hell i was doing at the time. Im really glad your feeling better mate, its been far too long, i miss those smokey days hanging around the bass place, i was gutted to hear of its closure, many of our fellow basschatters will be thrilled to hear some of your tales. I had some labella deep talking flats on my jazz for a while they were great but i went back to the roundwounds as i like bite with a jazz bass, if i ever get a precision it will always have flats i think its the perfect combination. lee

Well it just so happens, im in newcastle visiting my parents for a week from the 23rd feb, so if its around then ill definately be popping in, won t be able to bring my amp but ill bring a bass or two along and i dont mind chipping in a couple of quid for the room, let me know the dates lads. all the best - lee ps cant remember if it was bass octopus who wanted to try an eden head, if so if your there and want me to bring my wt 550 let me know!

Thats ok Nick not your fault at all!! To be Honest they were still rather cheap, but id made a big order, and basically the 5 strings i ordered came as 4 strings, they sent on the extra strings but were a bit funny and no apology was forthcoming, not good considering it was my first time using them, but thanks for putting me onto them mate. lee sh*t . I remember recommending MyMusicStuff to you Lee! I'm ever so sorry! I've never had a problem with them in the 4 years I've been using them. Sincerest apologies. Nick. OOOHHH!!! where do you get those (Ebs titanium nickels)from and how much are they? ive always fancied trying them - lee Oh and for me D,addario xl nickels or DR sunbeams depending on how flush i am, 105 - 45 for 4 string and 125 - 45 for 5 strings. I wouldve gone with yamaha TRB , but it seems to have only four knobs, not five, the top horn looks diffrent too, could be out really, as you say it,ll be mostly japenese stuff. I've tweaked the image - anyone know what it is now? [/quote]

Hi guys im a huge fan of chaka Khan and im not sure who is on that particular live track but i think Josh is on the money, The bass player in Rufus was a guy called Bobby Watson who also played on "rock with you" by michael jackson (amongst other people) during her solo career she used lots of players Will LEE "im every woman" Bobby Watson, Marcus Miller , Willie Weeks, Nathan East "I feel for you" Anthony jackson on quite a lot of it, Phil upchurch( George Bensons man) , Abraham Laboriel, Hamish Stuart and Gregg Phillinganes left hand (aint nobody) oh and later on Larry Graham and Meshell ndegeocello and probably loads of others. As you can see ive got all her stuff, if youve not heard any Rufus stuff check it out Bobby Watson has me seriously Gassing for a precision with Flatwounds WHAT A SOUND!!!
