Yeah those Warwick boards look really well designed. I've two pedaltrain ones, but I'll be looking at Warwicks if I decide to change.

I think loving fresh new strings (as I do) is a costly affair all round, these days as prices soar, I've even started boiling them again I've never tried the elixirs, but the thought of a string in a Condom, puts me off 🤣 although I did have an acoustic set abd thought they sounded fantastic. Strings will last longer for some people than others, due to individual sweat/skin acidity etc, so even recommending a string that works for you, won't necessarily work for others. A thing for me is whether a string sounds bright and Musical after its died off. I always found I'd get a long time out of DR High beams, as they'd give a nice presence even when dead. So you may get more life from Steel strings. My preference these days us for nickel which die much quicker. I've been using Dunlop superbrights nickels, which to be fair, stay nice and lively once dead (but they do die off quickly) maybe find the cheapest set that you like and buy in bulk (still may be similar money to a few sets of elixirs)

The Labella's LTF have a very warm/dark smooth sound (The Labella tone) and are really smooth to the touch. They are lovely to play, I found the tension on par if not a little less than Tomastiks, I recall not liking the feel at the time. The Tomastiks have a more pronounced mid range tone and a sweet treble when new, which later dies off leaving a warmer thump. I've had these on a few of my basses, before I realised the feel wasn't right for me. You can feel the wraps on these strings, but not a harsh feel at all, and for want of a better description, they felt "plasticky" Both great sounding strings, very easy to get about on, but I think next tine I get flats, it'll be light standard Labellas, they seem to have the classic tone.

Tim's a great guy! He made me a clear acrylic pickguard, for a musicman Sterling which had a particularly Beautiful grain. Fast service and the guard was spot on.

Yep, +1 singularly the most useful pedal you'll ever own!

But to be fair, Andy gave me an old pickguard he'd had made to send Earlpilanz. He made a nice Tort for my old Stingray 5HH

Lol cheers🤣 He made one for My BB1024

I'd always wanted to try the DR Hellborgs. I never got around to buying any, as I was always Happy with the High Beams and Sun Beams I was using and they were expensive to take a risk on. These strings sound interesting, and when you look at the current prices of TI or other flatwound strings reaching £60+ mark, and rounds not far behind maybe for a boutique premium product, close to £80 is fine, they'd better last though 🤣

I did on My Nordy Nj4s, first tried white, which fitted fine, but looked too anaemic (on an Olympic White jazz) i then got some cream covers from ebay and one was slightly off abd it drove me mad 🤣 went back to black, the big singles will be a challenge to get covers for unless nordstrand sell them.

I've just sold Loz a short Scale Sire! In the 15 years I've been a member on this site, I've been very lucky to deal with some very very fine Gentleman (some complete Donkeys too, but far less 🤣) but Loz sits at the top of the tree. I was very poorly as so decided to get parcelforce to pick it up and add the labels themselves (I always do it myself, but printer was Fubared) I even made a point of asking the courier where his labels were "ill do it at he depot Mate" well he didn't, and the bass sat in a depot for nearly a week undelivered 😡🤬 Loz was patient, understanding, and more importantly kind!! His calm attitude kept my already escalating anxiety (on top of raging flu) to a minimum. With a bit of calling abd digging, the bass ended up where it was supposed to be and everything was OK. Lesson to myself "print your own labels. Don't rely on them to fo their job" Loz! You have a fan, thankyou so much xx

I'm in two bands, one an Instrumental Prog Rock/Synthwave fusion band, that's uses the big board thst you've all seen. I'm also in a Rock/Soul covers band. That just needs some basics, PITA to keep moving pedals, but I can't afford to double them up. But looking to start a dedicated little board. In tge meantime here's the little Rock board 😁

Huge Congratulations on the news Ander, so pleased for you. Being Dad means Basses will occasionally need to get sold, but more will come. I still miss the Ken Smith I sold to pay Santa Claus for my eldest when she was 2 she's 14 now 🤪 It's a very lovely Bass, im sure the pain of selling will dull in time 😁, all my best to you young fella x

Fantastic video! I want that P bass, what a tone!!! Very nearly bought the new mini one recently, but the lack of volume control put me off. I wonder if it makes any difference in this comparison? I bought a Sadowsky SB2 in the end and sounds fantastic, adds weight and clarity (in a subtle way) I'd love to hear a comparison of that and the Aguilar, seeing as they share some DNA 😁

I wished I'd had this when I was running a Bergantino IP112 with an AE112 would have been amazing. Maybe an updated version of that power speaker to go with this would be cool. I know its probably pointless as you can get the Berg heads now.

My favourite was always the Brown BOSS Bf2b, great range of usable sounds. Currently got a couple of nice Flangers set up on my Source Audio Gemini. The MXR Bass chorus deluxe has a fantastic Flanger setting, doesn't go as crazy as the Boss can, but a fantastic swirly sound. The EBS Unichorus flanger setting is very subtle and more like a chorus really but a great sound nonetheless. I want the "Waiting for an Alibi" Tone pretty much 😁
