1. Hi everyone!! Definately work in boomy hollow rooms, have found it tightens th sound and any loss of bottom can be EQ'd but at least you have that option, love mine and use it for all gigs, but you.d probably not tell the diffrence in a good room. Bass directs price is fantastic i paid £70 (with postage)for mine about 3 years ago, well worth a try for the cash, in fact i fancy the big one all the best-lee The feedback I have had from my customers is very impressive, although probably not necessary for all gigs I think these are the answer for those hollow stages and boomy rooms that crop up. 2. Hi OJ ha ha so you liked the EBS great cabs eh, huge bump for a fantastic cab from a lovely bloke , let tony know know i may be considering trades on my TD 650 soon-lee
 3. Nickel is great, with a little garlic and some red wine , boiling is great have done it for years, have a special old pan, never dried them in the oven though, great idea, always used a clean!!! towel, if your going to boil a lot, its best to get strings which dont have silk windings, such as d,addarios, or DR'S, as silk gets a bit funky after a few boils. keep boiling guys- lee What happens if you lightly saute them with a little butter and shallots?
4. I once saw a photo of flea playing a musicman with a badass bridge a while ago, i suppose he couldnt get an EBMM one either if you need a bridge and it fits i,d say go for it, they are fantastic bridges, although the musicman ones are nice and sturdy too. i look forward to hearing about the results. -lee
 5. No problem mate! Just an idle fancy, you have got my interest though, i love my Ebs but its quite big and i fancy a two channel amp so i dont have to use the EBS microbass, to swap between electric and EUB and a friend of mine told me very good things about the epifani. Just to clarify does this head only run at 4 ohms or can you use it at 8 ohms if needed. Got to have a think on this, all the best- lee
 6. Hi mate Just a feeler, dont suppose you,d be interested in a trade for an EBS TD 650 all the best- lee
 7. God i would sooo love this bass!! not what you want to hear but i cant afford it, new baby and all that!, the wife would go mad, a fantastic bass at a great price and in such good nick, that finish is amazing its similar to my musicman sterling, im tempted to get rid of my warwick 5 to get this, but with an identical warwick still not selling on here i doubt id get a quick sale. Anyway good luck with the sale its a fantastc bass, have a huge BUMP!!!!!! - LEE
 8. Power cons what a fantastic idea, about time all manufacturers adopted this idea, its the future!!! Steve a completely gorgeous rig mate, you always have such great rigs, id love to hear that set up in action as ive always fancied one of those avalon U5,s keep groovin-lee These are called power-cons my friend. To me they are far superier to kettle leads as they lock in like speakon cables. The end the runs from the mains is white/grey and the end going into the systems is blue. Btw Steve, amazing set-up, would love to hear it! Jake
9. The last two digits on the serial no indicate the year of manufacture, theres usually a dash before it so you can easily tell mine has 03 to indicate 2003 also a letter at the beginning indicates the month i,e A = jan B=feb etc hope this helps-lee bump anyone know any warwick resource sites for dateing this bass?
10. I think he may have been referring to a fender Marcus Miller preamp and the east equiv, not a musicman, which it we all thought he meant, im sure he,ll clarify. mind you id be tempted to try the Musicman east pre in my sterling. all the best- lee Is this a Musicman bass? The SR5 preamp has nothing whatsoever to do with Fender.
11. +1 I have an 82jv jazz (although not the fender logo, they are very early) i bought it 16 years ago, and it will come with me to my grave, fantastic basses, although i was naughty in my youth and changed bits(really wish id kept the original pickups, am thinking of getting nordstrands to get closer to its original sound, i have EMG jv,s in them at mo). Hats off to early squires- all the best- lee Same as you there Huge. No other basses make me feel quite as at home to be honest. Definitely NOT for sale. I think you're rght as well. There weren't many that had the big Fender logo. Never thought I'd say this. I'm picking up my Marshall Bass combo later on. The MB4210. I hope I get on with it. My Trace 300w 15" combo got nicked. Will keep you all informed on how the Marshall performs. Nervous nailbiting till I get a chance to crank it up..... ps. how do you all do that thing saying what you play and what through at the end of your messages? Signature or something is it?
12. Thank you for a great peak at your amazing collection I absolutely adore the white spectors, ever since i first saw the video to "forever" and gene plays one i totally fellin love, i also love the one he had in the "tears are falling" video cant remember if it was red or pink, ive played warwick for years as i couldnt afford an NS2 ive no excuse these days with the euro series, must try and get a white one. Thanks again-lee
 13. Hi I have exactly the same bass(and same colour) and can highly recommend it, great punchy versatile tone, lots of options, ive used it in many musical situations and always had lots of compliments on the tone. if its like mine photos dont do the AA flamed top justice. Big bump for a great bass at a good price- lee
 14. I must see pics of this, salmon pink COOL!!! LEE
 15. Hi Red binding could be rotosound strings, they tend to be quite rough to the touch, great rock tone!!! not used them for a long time though-all the best- lee

Really really pleased, highly recommended. all the best -lee Ps +1 for Dave Wilson at haltwhistle an absolute gentleman

 21. Hi dave I hope you or any other knowledgeable bods can help me, ive just bought a groove tubes 12ax7 to replace the one in my EBS td 650, i took the top of and the old valve seems t be in a plastic holder on a circuit board and i cant get the valve out at all, and i dont want to get too rough, i had an swr amp years ago and i replaced the valve in that, it just slipped out, but this ones a bit sturdier. If you know of a special knack with these things, id really appreciate some advice, mind you itll prob be safer to find a local tech. many thanks- lee
 22. PM,D LEE I have a Gator 3 Unit lightweight rack case in good condition. Looking for £40 including postage. I've owned this from new. Some very minor marks but nothing serious. Latches work fine and comes with all original screws. Although less depth than a standard rack it will house most modern amps such as EBS, Edens, Markbass. Don't have a picture of actual item at the moment so click the link for a stock picture and specifications. 23. Heard about those, were do you get them in the uk cheers- lee I use Power Bugs. Boutique batteries FTW
24. Nice Met terry k he bought my qtron , nice bloke, know what you mean about johns tech cab bit of a trek to toon if your both not happy, heard tons of great stuff about the bergs though will hopefully try at some point. enjoy the tone mate- all the best -lee Hi Lee, I sold the cabs to the first person who got in touch and kept in contact. There were 8 people interested! I wasn't sure if I should go for Warwickhunt's Tech cab but the distance and logistics involved, combined with the fact that we may not like each others gear made it a no go. I've gone for TerryK's Bergantino IP 310. I went to try it last week and it's very nice. Cheers Steve.
25. Damn let me know what you get next steve all the best- lee
