  1. Lol! I think he'll start up again, when the Tory Government falls. Hes very passionate about that 😁
  2. The earlier Wenge necks,(which this is) were nice and slim (as in shallow). The later ones were ovangcol and were chunky chunky baseball bats
  3. Ahh I remember those boards! I was a fan of "our Helical Mind" at the time, and you actually inspired me,to get more into effects and electronic music. I actuslly bought one of your Diago boards at the time 😁
  4. Are they the ones of him grabbing his secretary's bum?
  5. It helps with my wanting, but not with raising the cash 😁
  6. Lol I'm looking at my gear and wondering how much of it will be decimated to buy this 🤣
  7. Absolutely stunning! If it had black hardware, it would be the "Tears are falling" bass 😍😍😍 I want a Spector so badly 😁
  8. So boards changed again,as I've got rid of a few pedals, to buy another bass (as you do) had a change around of some and have a slightly different layout. EBS Microbass 2 - this is the third one of these I've had, and I'd forgotten how brilliant they are. Works as an A/B box for 2 basses, or two channels for one, and an OD, DI, headphone amp it also has a loop with a control for parallel to series operation. I've put all my effects into the loop, so I can use them with the headphone amp and set the dial to 100% effect as I don't need any clean blended in. first in the loop Cali76 CB - I've tried most of them and love this for versatility while still being intuitive to use. It has fantastic natural tone, which just makes you sound better. (Although I've seriously got my eye on an FEA optifet 🤣) This then goes into the main input of a Boss LS2,so all channels are massaged by the Cali76. This then goes back to the EBS, this is my main clean sound, I can switch effects in/out using the Ls2 Ls2 Loop A - Analog Channel Cog T70 triple Octave - 3 channel octaves with its own loop. Two separated T65 octaves which ive set 1 for a clean smooth octave and another for a synthy octave up sound, utilising the filters. It has a third "sub" channel which has no clean just octave. The filters can get this fairly close to the OC2 sound. The loop on this enables "parallel" octave so any effects used have the octave clean underneath, in this loop I have Zvex Mastatron fuzz- gated spitty funky fuzz! An absolute fuzzy classic and is must on any board. It adds to the synthy channel on the T70 to create an massive fuzzed octave. In series to The T70 MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe - fantastic warm chorus/Flanger. I have it set to affect only the high end,so subtle but a lovely sound. I particularly love the Flanger setting. EBS Dphaser - fabulously funky multi stage phaser, with lots of control and sounds very deep and cool Ls2 Loop B - digital Synth Channel Source Audio C4 synth- this has so many sounds and I'm finding it's able to replace more and more of my board. Loads of octaves/filters/phasers/bit crushers/fuzzes and synths. I have the Disaster Area Micro DMC so I can access 128 sounds from the C4. So versatile. These to channels can be mixed via the LS2 (the most useful pedal in existance)
  9. When I saw it, I thought of you! Not sure if I can bare to part with mine, especially as they are rare as hens teeth used, and currently not being made.
  10. Mine is the core of my pedalboard! Very good price on this too.
  11. Wow just lovely!!

    Do I need them ?

It's a beautiful collection! I live my pedals too, unfortunately I can't afford a huge collection and have to sell some to buy more 🙄😁

    Do I need them ?

    That's an understatement 😂 x
  16. Sounds amazing! How ridiculously expensive would that be😂 it's not their business model though, I love the seperate multi effect thing that they do.
  17. So much like JML you had no idea you needed one of these, until those lovely companies started making them. Tidy up your cabling to/from your pedal board! Easy to use send jack into the input of your first pedal, and from yiur last pedal into the return. Your cables from your bass and to your amp are in one convenient place. It is a very high quality bit of kit in as new condition, features Neutrik jacks and has high quality Velcro on the bottom. I've an EBS Microbass2 which does the same job (and a lit more) so this isn't needed. SOLD
  18. So I've been restoring my 82 JV Squier jazz back to its stock format, and decided to get one of these, vintage Spiral Saddled bridges as I got one on my P bass and it's great. I literally bought this brand new about 4 weeks ago, it got sent to a tech, who as doing the stripping work and he fitted it. When I got the bass back, the bridge is brilliant but it was too SHINY for my 39 year old, battle scarred bass😂 I've now bought reliced Gotoh which is pretty much the same thing, but dirty!! HOSCO are the distributor for Gotoh and I suspect, Hosco parts are made by Gotoh, as they are made in Japan (although the Hosco is a tad thicker and has a slightly bigger baseplate) Anyway as new, although I don't have any screws for it (I suspect they ended up, in my techs spares drawer) steel baseplate, Brass saddles etc NOW SOLD
  19. Yeas that would be the ideal situation for me! FEA for the P bass and cali for the jazz/musicman
  20. Cool!! A good optical comp is great if your using digital effects. I used to use a Effectrode then a Diamond and later the 3leaf Pwnzor which both worked well, with the source audio Gemini I had at the time, it almost puts back that Analog fatness. I think you'd regret it, if you relied on the the Helix comp (and I'm sure it's great)
  21. Aha on hold! Someone's going to be happy. Shame I don't have the cash 😁
  22. I like the simplicity of the Cali as the combined attack/release works well for me. But tonally it's very bright and I'd like somethibg warmer! That being said, I've gone to passive on my basses (except my musicman) so having that extra clarity will work nicely. I haven't tried a helix, and I've seriously considered that route myself, but I've seen too many people sell all their board to buy one, then promptly start to buy compressors and octaves as they arnt happy with the models. An ideal board would be having both, I'd say if you can afford it, try to get the Helix and keep the FEA (the warmth from that comp, will help soften some of the digital effects)
