    Paul C's goodness

Just bought a VTBassDI from Paul! An absolute pleasure to deal with, regular friendly comms and arrived well packaged the very next day. A credit to the community, deal with confidence. Thanks again Paul
  2. Ooh so many lovely filters! That seamoon has had my eye!
  3. This thing had me at its name!! Definitely on my want list 😁
  4. For any potential interested parties, we the above question re the Aux input I've had a bit of a test today! As its been ages since had my IP. It appears I was wrong, the Aux signal actually Doesn't come through the 1/4 out or the DI (I used the EBS Microbass to play Music, which was replaced by the Enabler) I hope this info is useful. I've also had an A/B test on the DI on this with a newly recieved Tech21 VTDI. The the Enabler was louder and Crystal clear! Much clearer than the VT. Good job I've just recorded my album with it πŸ˜‚ The manual also confirms that the Aux in is only heard through headphones. www.3leafaudio.com β€Ί Enabl...PDF Web results The Enabler: EQ/DI/Headphone Amp - 3Leaf Audio To quote my esteemed bass brothers,if I didn't have building work to pay for,I'd happily keep both as clean and dirty pres.
  5. Very curious to know what your needs are Steve? If could see if it works! PM me 😁
  6. Yes It does! When I used to use this with a powered cab,Id plug my CD player into it and use it as a HIFI Didnt try it with the DI out
  7. The 3 leaf Audio Enabler is the veritable Swiss Army knife of pedals. It has the following lockdown essential features. 3 band preamp - the usual 3 bands of cut/boost, tuned by ear to give the most musical response. It has a nice tight bass response and a very sweet (not harsh) treble timbre. The mid range has a voicing switch between a fat low mid or a snarly high mid. It also has a deep switch which adds a lovely thickness to your sound. It's a subtle but very effective EQ, which sweetens the sound, but doesn't add it's own colour like a lot of pedal pres do. NOTE- unlike some, this can also run a power amp with ease. I used one of these with a powered BergantinoIP112 and sounded incredible. DI box- very high quality DI with pre/post and a ground lift. I've used this on tours and for recording, where the tone is always warm but crystal clear. Always received the highest praise from sound engineers I've worked with. This is on par with a lot of high end DI boxes ive used. The maker stated he stopped using his ReDDI in favour of this (I know what you're thinking! he would πŸ˜‚) Headphone amp- The crown jewel of this pedal and worth the price alone. It's a studio grade amp with crystal clear reproduction of your sound source. It takes 300ma at 9- 12v of power as the headphone amp takes a lot of juice. It also has an AUX input with its own volume the perfect practice tool. All in all an ideal box to use with your DAW to add warmth It's in as new condition with not a mark on it. These were discontinued a long time ago as apparently expensive to make. I don't have the original box,but it will be sent boxed. this is now SOLD!!! 8. Definately a contender on a "No expense spared" synth board!
  9. I think this falls into the "it will crush your wallet" territory πŸ˜‚ Looks ace though 😁
  10. Still sorting through all my old stuff lying about and found this. I used to use nothing but monster cable back in the day,And bought a few when i was working n the ships from New York. Over the years I've sold them off, when I bought even posher cables πŸ˜‚ how ever I found this wounded soldier. I think this ended up trapped by a stool leg while I was playing ballroom. And was damaged,so is intermittent. I always meant to get it fixed, but didn't get around to it, hence it being forgotten. It's approx 3m and was quite expensive, I'm sure anyone who knows what they are doing with cable could fix it and Maybe have a slightly shorter premium cable (the break isn't far off one end, Soho doubt much would needs to be cut away) Or a skipping rope, worth a punt nonetheless 😁 Β£12 including UK only postage NOTE- Got the whole cable at 350cm (3.5m tip to tip likely 3m of cable) measured in front of indentation (assuming this is the issue and not just a dodgy connection, may just need rewiring) it's 130 cm (1.3 m) to lose so about 2.2 m.
  11. Having a big change around and can't keep my basses on a wall anymoreπŸ™ My loss is your gain! Your perfect lockdown project,to turn your beautiful instruments, into functional works of Art. Let's not forget it also guards against toddlers covering them in stickers (happened to my vintage jazzπŸ˜‚) or your cat "making it theirs"😻) So I have 4x wall hangers, featuring the innovative Hercules grab system. In reasonable good condition, however sone of he screws were damaged when removing (so much for my dreams of dentistry) so I've included sone suitable replacements (No raw plugs though) Sold
  12. I had a diamond for a while! Very very subtle compression, but added a lovely fatness to the tone, which has become a benchmark in compression for me (I prefer to use them as a tone enhancer, rather than dynamic control). I sold the Diamond on thinking i wanted something with more versatility (got an MXR and instantly hated it πŸ˜‚) but the Diamond just did something to my other pedals, which I've since missed. I have the Cali76CB which gives me a nice combination of great tone and intuitive/easy control, which is why I wasn't sure about selling to get an FEA, I'd love to try them together. I'd entertain a Diamond again too and the smaller Empress looks fantastic.
  13. I was sooo close to jumping on that! Kept looking at my cali76 and wondering if I could sell it quick enough for the wife to not noticeπŸ˜‚ Spent too much time faffing about. This is definitely on my list to try. Very much enjoyed your review,I'll keep An eye out for one of these 😁 Very jealous πŸ˜‰
  14. Well do you really need that octo Njos? πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚
  15. Just seen this Nick. Fine mate,I hope you and yours are ok? Just a damn shame I haven't the cash to take this funky beauty off your hands 😁
  16. Yeah I'd love to try a Fwonkbeta! When I've the cash for a 2nd filter,it's on the short list 😁
  17. I used to have one of these! Great pedal. Shame I'm skint 😁
  18. Welcome fella! Hope you get the chorus sorted 😁
  19. A chap on Facebook recently sold a standard big box for over Β£400 and I thought that was crazy money (even though if I had it, I'd pay it πŸ˜‚) Seems itcwas a bargain. I'll stick with my Cali76 CB
  20. Goodness I'll have to think! I bet my list is shorter than Andys and I've been player a lot longer πŸ˜‚ From memory and in order of owning -60's short scale Arbiter SG - Vantage VS -650B - Ibanez Musician - Hohner P/J Fretless P bass -82 JV Squier jazz (still got this one) - Bass Doc custom Jazz (later defretted) - Yamaha BBN5 - Yamaha BB NE1 -Warwick Streamer LX - Warwick Streamer Jazzman 5 -Warwick 90 Streamer Stage 1 - Ibanez SR 4 string - NS WAV EUB - Japanese Fender Precision -Washburn AB10 acoustic bass - Musicman Sterling (Still have this, owned twice) - Fender American Fretless Jazz - Ken Smith BSRMW 5 -Spector CRFM5 -Warwick Thumb 6 -Stagg EUB - Squier VM Precision 5 -Samick Acoustic bass -83 Tokai Fretless jazz - Musicman Stingray 5HH -Fender Nate Mendel Precision - Yamaha BB1025x - Yamaha BB424 -Fender Highway one Precision (still using) - Yamaha TRB1005 - Kay shortscale ( technically my Daughters and needs fixing πŸ˜‚) -Yamaha BB 425 -Yamaha BB 350f fretless That's about as far as I can get with my senior memory. Not many for nearly 30 years of playing. Funnily enough when I Was a professional player,I only owned 2 or 3. It was only when i stopped and joined Basschat, thst I kept chopping and changing πŸ˜‚
  21. Probably going to withdraw this! However I may be tempted with a trade for a C4 with a small cash adjustment, from me.
  22. Just seen this too! I'd have jumped on it 😁
