  1. Let me know how you get on with the lo fi machine as ive been looking at it for the last couple of weeks! as i said earlier the you tube vids put me off!! totally missed that the zoom has bit crusher and ring mod, so that may be a better buy than the mooer as it does loads of other things
  2. Good call! but I looked into that and couldn't find a bit crusher on the FX list!!I have thought about getting one though for delay and reverb (other effects I wouldn't use, but nice to have in case) has anyone else used a DOD gonkulator? ive heard it's the old DOD grunge distortion mixed with a rudimentary ring mod! I do trust Camerons opinion so may miss that one as it's £110. I still want a Co pilot orbit! definitely one fir next year
  3. As ive just got an instrumental/electronic project together, ive been getting increasingly interested in ring mods/bit crushers (especially as I've been listening to nerve) . I want to put them inthe loop of my cog T65, I, m seriously gassing for the co pilot orbit (they have a ten knob version on their FB page) as it seems a really versatile pedal, but is a ring mod as is the DOD Gonkulator which looks good (anyone any experience? ). Bit crushers seem to be really expensive, for something that isn't going to be used loads. The only cheap one ive seen is the Mooer Lo Fi machine, but I've gone off that ad the you tube demos sound awful!. so as per the OP any bit crushers which Aren't daft money would be great
  4. Cheers I'll ie been doing a bit of research and it doesn't seem to be what I'm after ( co pilot orbit) shame as the form factor is perfect for my overcrowded board
  5. That teaser stallion looks fantastic! is it a fuzz mixed with a ring mod like the co pilot orbit!! does it do synth sounds? looks just the thing to go in the loop of my T65! banned from buying till end of Jan though
  6. goodness!! I'd love to!! I've been after one for a while and purple!!!! can't raise that kind of cash and for the first time, I don't have anything to sell
  7. Aww bad timing! !! I've got the 60's NJ4'S in my Jazz and i want to replace them with 70's winds. no cash till the new year though
  8. The send on the loop can be used as an aux in!! I used to plug my MP 3 player into it and use my Bergantino IP and AE112 to play music through
  9. Yeah! ! I'll deffo grab an Enabler if I can in the future!! it was so good for practice! The fantastic EQ and Di were just the icing
  10. check out the EBS microbass 2
  11. If you can find one The 3 leaf Enabler is one of the best bits of kit ive ever owned! kicking myself for selling it. maybe not terrible helpful, but a wanted ad may work great organic tone, fantastic quality headphone amp. I used it on tour as my DI through a monitor as we couldn' use bback lineand the sound man was very impressed with the tone
  12. @Al Krow lol!! yeah I'm sure my wife would appreciate me giving the gift of pedals!! I had the T16 and loved it (sold mine to Quatschmaker) but got a T65 for the extra functionality, but its a different sound. I'd love Tom to make me a T47/T70 variant with one T65 channel and a T16, maybe even the sub channel (basically a T 70 with two less knobs) it may not be much more expensive than buying an MXR (obviously sell my custom T65 ) ive owned the EBS, OC2/3, T16, Octamiser so the MXR is oneI haven't tried.
  13. @Al Krow @Quatschmacher id love to get one of the several BOD's on here, however I've two little girlie's who can't wait for father Christmas to leave presents and i dont think he does pedals (read spent up) great demo and it sounds great! by clean octave I mean clean fullup and a really smooth octave without a lot of highs! my benchmark is the EBS Octabass, however I want something smaller. The Cog T16 would be great as I use my T65 as a synth engine with the clean down and high up! (I still like the smooth OC2 style octave sound thiugh) but we all know the T65 is still a bit dirty when clean. The MXR is quite small and ive read the growl is supposed to emulate the OC2 while the girth emulates the EBS!!! so that sounds ideal
  14. amazingly priced OC2's will never last long
  15. I'll be looking for another octave in the new year! and ive my eye on the MXR BOD! how is it for really clean octave sounds? I've read it's quote gritty, which I don't need as my T65 has all the grit in need.
  16. I desperately wanted them to he just like High Beams at half the cost! alas no!! they aren't awful though for the money.
  17. NPD!! sold my old faithfull EBS Unichorus and bought an MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe!! Absolutely delighted with it,especially the flanger which sounds fantastic. The EBS flanger was very subtle like a flanger/chorus, but the MXR sounds much more like a flanger! I love it it looks great too, definately put MXR on my radar.
  18. I really wanted to like Dunlop superbrights, but i found the tone rather bland (IMO of course) although they are very flexible and bright they just didn't sound as rich in the lows for fingerstyle as DR's. Dood is spot on though! I wipe my strings with "fast fret" after every rehearsal/gig
  19. Definitely DR High Beams!!! Been my string of choice for many many years. flexible, bright and deep with a bit of crunch and rattle when you dig in
  20. After taking delivery of a bass Chorus Deluxe I think I'll be looking at moving on my phase in the new year to get a phase 95! BTW the phase 99 is pretty great too im guessing the phase 95 is a reaction to the mooer orange 60 which does block and script! would be curious to compare the two.
  21. Lol bonkers!!! I need an OC2 again!! I keep selling them and regretting it
  22. Ive been after a 95 for a while as i love my phase 90 but really want a script version and my boards a bit crowded (I'm trying really hard not to get a bigger board) this looks ideal!! The sounds didn't really sound night and day in this demo though. Q! I thought the block and script phase 90's weren't true bypass as well
  23. Just a little update!! The keyboard bag I had my amp in fits the Metro 20 perfectly! With a little extra room to put the massive Cioks dc5 plug and my microphone my Gallien Kruger head fits perfectly in the Metro 20 soft case HOWEVER!! I've just discovered Pedaltrain have sorted themselves out and now sell an upgraded premium gigbag for most of their boards!! expensive but look perfect https://buypedaltrain.com/collections/cases/products/pt-m20-psc-x
