  1. If you can find one The 3 leaf Enabler is one of the best bits of kit ive ever owned! kicking myself for selling it. maybe not terrible helpful, but a wanted ad may work great organic tone, fantastic quality headphone amp. I used it on tour as my DI through a monitor as we couldn' use bback lineand the sound man was very impressed with the tone
  2. @Al Krow lol!! yeah I'm sure my wife would appreciate me giving the gift of pedals!! I had the T16 and loved it (sold mine to Quatschmaker) but got a T65 for the extra functionality, but its a different sound. I'd love Tom to make me a T47/T70 variant with one T65 channel and a T16, maybe even the sub channel (basically a T 70 with two less knobs) it may not be much more expensive than buying an MXR (obviously sell my custom T65 ) ive owned the EBS, OC2/3, T16, Octamiser so the MXR is oneI haven't tried.
  3. @Al Krow @Quatschmacher id love to get one of the several BOD's on here, however I've two little girlie's who can't wait for father Christmas to leave presents and i dont think he does pedals (read spent up) great demo and it sounds great! by clean octave I mean clean fullup and a really smooth octave without a lot of highs! my benchmark is the EBS Octabass, however I want something smaller. The Cog T16 would be great as I use my T65 as a synth engine with the clean down and high up! (I still like the smooth OC2 style octave sound thiugh) but we all know the T65 is still a bit dirty when clean. The MXR is quite small and ive read the growl is supposed to emulate the OC2 while the girth emulates the EBS!!! so that sounds ideal
  4. amazingly priced OC2's will never last long
  5. I'll be looking for another octave in the new year! and ive my eye on the MXR BOD! how is it for really clean octave sounds? I've read it's quote gritty, which I don't need as my T65 has all the grit in need.
  6. I desperately wanted them to he just like High Beams at half the cost! alas no!! they aren't awful though for the money.
  7. NPD!! sold my old faithfull EBS Unichorus and bought an MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe!! Absolutely delighted with it,especially the flanger which sounds fantastic. The EBS flanger was very subtle like a flanger/chorus, but the MXR sounds much more like a flanger! I love it it looks great too, definately put MXR on my radar.
  8. I really wanted to like Dunlop superbrights, but i found the tone rather bland (IMO of course) although they are very flexible and bright they just didn't sound as rich in the lows for fingerstyle as DR's. Dood is spot on though! I wipe my strings with "fast fret" after every rehearsal/gig
  9. Definitely DR High Beams!!! Been my string of choice for many many years. flexible, bright and deep with a bit of crunch and rattle when you dig in
  10. After taking delivery of a bass Chorus Deluxe I think I'll be looking at moving on my phase in the new year to get a phase 95! BTW the phase 99 is pretty great too im guessing the phase 95 is a reaction to the mooer orange 60 which does block and script! would be curious to compare the two.
  11. Lol bonkers!!! I need an OC2 again!! I keep selling them and regretting it
  12. Ive been after a 95 for a while as i love my phase 90 but really want a script version and my boards a bit crowded (I'm trying really hard not to get a bigger board) this looks ideal!! The sounds didn't really sound night and day in this demo though. Q! I thought the block and script phase 90's weren't true bypass as well
  13. Just a little update!! The keyboard bag I had my amp in fits the Metro 20 perfectly! With a little extra room to put the massive Cioks dc5 plug and my microphone my Gallien Kruger head fits perfectly in the Metro 20 soft case HOWEVER!! I've just discovered Pedaltrain have sorted themselves out and now sell an upgraded premium gigbag for most of their boards!! expensive but look perfect https://buypedaltrain.com/collections/cases/products/pt-m20-psc-x
  14. It's an awful lot of pedal for the money though Peter! If I had the cash (and board space) I'd have had it by now
  15. Aww man!! I want that cog so much!!! i really wanted it last time (when i had the cash) and it was trade only. ive just spent cash on a new chorus and no money this close to Christmas (or so the wife says)
  16. Lol!! We've already said we're not buyingfor each other due to cash worth a try thiugh
  17. I'd love it! but skint and too close to Christmas
  18. I've been deliberating on this too long!trying to decide whether it could replace my Knightfall! two very different pedals though
  19. Aww man! ! I want this so badly, spent all my money recently
  20. goodness!! just buy these three and stick them on a Pedaltrain and your sorted for an amazing pedalboard! Wish I had the cash for the Cog and id never noticed the Mobius till now!! awesome multi effect
  21. I can't quantify it! but the older non true bypass EBS pedals just seemed to sound better to me. They do have a very slight boost when engaged, but that can work well in certain situations. Ive avoided the studio editions as i feel EBS pedals have gradually got cheaper looking/feeling over the years as the company got bigger (and i am a major EBS fan and have owned most of their pedals several times over and used their amps for years) ive never tried the SE versions so can't comment on sound
  22. Please try the Octabass gents! I think it'll tick a lot of boxes. Its always been a favourite of mine, ive had two, the original black label (not the first grey pedals) and a later true bypass "improved" version. Both tracked extremely well and have a great clean octave tone, with a lot of variety with the range switch
  23. Cool pedal!!
  24. in the past I've used many high end cables for instruments and speakers (Monster/Evidence Audio/Zaolla) and i can tell the difference in tone (I did really like the Zaolla but it went intermittent ans I had to stop using it). For a few years now, I use exclusively OBBM ' S rockwire for bass cables/patch leads and speaker cable! I'm very happy with them, sounds great and not daft money
  25. Lovely! ! If I'd seen this a couple of weeks ago id have had your arm off
