Ive been getting good results from my EHX Soul Food. Low gain overdrive with a clean blend, not very expensive either.i do find it has a bit of a boost in the high mids, but that works great for cutting through 😀
Yeah I want to replace the Soul food with a bearfoot blueberry or perhaps a hookers green bass machine. How does the green and blueberry compare? As ive heard they are similar😀

Just added a couple of acquisitions a fantastic tech 21 red ripper and my new fave the Cog T16. Very funky sounds indeed and work amazingly well with my 3 Leaf Wonderlove. Ive been pretending to be Gregg Phillinganes all afternoon (and failing lol). Sorry everybody it appears the basic downloader on basschat is Australian 😂 Managed to get a link to this on photobucket, however as ive no Pc I cant port the full pic 😞 http://s1002.photobucket.com/user/leafy_2010/media/DSC_2049.jpg.html?sort=3&o=1

Got my first Cog pedal today! The fantastic T16 octave, really impressed with this.tons of variation with the filter and gets me close to the Oc2 sound in a tiny box, brilliant. Already planning a star wars themed T47 variant😀 It works great with my other new pedal the Tech 21 red ripper! Just need to integrate them onto my crowded board.
What kind of tone suck did you experience with it, if you don't mind? I've just acquired an old 24v Q-Tron+ which I'm yet to try out!
Hi Rory I used it in an old boss bcb pedal board with a load of EBS pedals at the time, all the pedals went in its built in loop and were powered by the board. I had to power the Qtron seperately but it was still in the loop. I was playing a show and the power supply to the Qtron went and i had to plug straight into the amp and what a difference!!. The other pedals were older EBS so i blamed the Qtron I didn't have the same problem after I moved it on,however no filter ive had sounds as good
Did the Wonderlove do it for you???
yes very much! I love the tone and its very flexible. I love the loop, I have a mastatron fuzz and EBS octave in it and the synth sounds awesome. Just need anOC2 or a cog t16 for a more synthy octave

This is now sold! The new AE112 has been re-voiced for 2011 and maintains the full yet tight low end with masses of bass extension, however the mids are warmer, still clear, yet smooth and very punchy for a 12" cabinet and the high end tweeter gives you crystal clear high end without being aggressive or abrasive. Great on its own, amazing as a pair! The New reference for lightweight 12" cabs. Model AE112 specifications: •1 x 12" Custom Neodymium driver with 7 oz magnet •high intelligibility 1" tweeter •custom phase - coherent crossover with tweeter level control •power handling - 300 watts rms •frequency response: 40hz - 18khz •sensitivity: 100db @ 1 Watt/1 meter •2 x 1/4" and 2 x neutrik connectors •impedance: 8 ohms •dimensions: 15 3/4"H x 18-1/2"W x 15"D •40cm x 47cm x 38cm •weight: 31lbs/14 •This cab works well with high power amplifiers from 300 - 500w at 8Ω Hi everyone in my attempt to raise funds for a new bass, im selling one of my beloved AE112 cabs. It was a tough choice as im not playing enough to justify two cabs, so ive decided to keep my 2x10 and move on the 12, using both together is just too big for the pubs in Lancaster -lol Its in great nick and comes with the optional extra cover, I dont have to go on about how fantastic these neo loaded cabs are as their quality is well known. Id keep it but having major gas at the mo. id like £365 which will include uk mainland delivery, ill knock some off, if a trip to collect in sunny Morecambe sounds appealing Info at the top, ill get a photo up asap

For sale is my amazing Musicman Stingray 5HH in honeyburst with rosewood fretboard. Its a very classy looking ray with the now discontinued Honeyburst finish . It also features a tort guard on a ash body and a lovely rosewood board on a very comfy oiled maple neck.currently strung with DR high Beams. It weighs 4.9kg / 10.8lbs,(this was the weight given by the previous owner, but it does not feel really heavy with a decent strap) with a string spacing of 17.5mm, It has a low action and being the HH model it's ridiculously versatile. There is a small chip in the rear by the strap pin, other than that it's in really really good condition. This StingRay 5 HH was completed on March 28th 2006 Its been very well looked after as the condition is superb for an 11 year old bass. To be clear this double humbucker version is slightly different to the modern versions as the pickups are ceramic and wired in series (louder with more bass and low mids)as per the Sterling 5HH, in practice this gives the bass a much much warmer and punchy tone (very P bass like on the front pickup) while still exhibiting the stingray bounce. The mixture of the different pickups gives a great array of tones, and with both pickups on its like a really beefy jazz but with Musicman characteristics. Ive used this for various theatre gigs as well as functions and original material and ive found the tone more useful than other rays ive had in the past. link to Musicman page, showing the coil positions for this bass https://www.music-ma...sses/sterling-5 It also had a great demo of the sterling 5hh which has the same pickups as this by Ed Friedland. It does come with the OHSC. I will be wanting a firm £1025 delivered with insurance, which is cheaper than similar HH or H ray 5's that have sold on here recently(I will do £1000 if you'd like to collect from sunny Morecambe) I do not wish to post this overseas. cheers 😀 NOW SOLD!!!
