4.
After the redesign its now called Ginger. Been meaning to build this one for a ling time.
Me too; heres the website: http://www.runoffgro...com/ginger.html I managed to get a vero layout for it too, if you want I can PM it over.
5.
If Ash doesn't have it, can I have 2nd dibs please! Oh, hang on - cancel that. I've just realised this is the P3110 model, not the older P5110 model. It's the 5110 I'm after.
Oops, I thought it was a P5110 too. GLWTS.
6. Cheers for the warning. And thanks again for your help, much appreciated!
7. That won't be here long at that price!
8. Just swapped the wires over and thats sorted it. Many thanks sir, as always Basschat comes to the rescue! I'm off to play my bass.
9. Hi Neepheid, thanks for the response. First first off, is this an active EMG? I'm sure it is, I didn't know they did passive pickups? Plus they guy I bought it from said I should use a stereo jack socket, so that would imply it was active. First off it's definitely 25K pots you should be using with active EMG pickups. Great, I'll stick with them then. Is your battery fresh? Yep brand new. Is it wired the right way (+ve to the red wire of the pickup, -ve to the ring connector of the stereo jack socket)? Red from pickup is connected to the +ve of the battery snap. At the moment (like the diagram) -ve on the battery snap is connected to the tip of the jack socket. This could be my first problem! Are we talking old school EMG where the main wire is a single thick white one with a braid inside for the earth and a smaller white wire inside the braid for the hot signal and red being power into the pickup? Yep, old school as you describe above.
10. Bought his EMG P bass pickup. Easy deal. Cheers Frank!
11. I've installed an old EMG pickup in my Squier P bass. Unfortunately it didn't come with the EMG loom, so I have had to improvise by getting info from the internet. I used two 500k log pots and a 100nf cap and wired it all up using this (Diagram 1): http://www.sonic.net...pdf/2BASSPU.pdf All I get is a low signal with full on distortion and both pots make no difference in either volume or tone. I then tried two 25k log pots with exactly the same results. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
12. Actually,yeah you're right.
13.
I dunno, I spent some time with the Squeezer because my mate couldn't get what he wanted from it. I found it pretty infuriating, really un-intuitive back-page. Si
+1 I found the Squeezer really tedious, why didn't they add a USB port and some software? It'd be a must have pedal then.

15.
...wish I had your free time. 2 young kids and a hectic job are making it hard to get anything done. I've even resorted to kits to speed things up, but can't even get time to get those started (ggg tuned muff, rc booster and bb preamp based on pedalparts kits and some mods). Have been using any spare minute (including 3am baby feeds) thinking about custom circuit combinations....
Free time is short for me too. I have an 18 month old son, so I feel your pain. We are out of the 3am feeds though. I have built all of these whilst he has his afternoon nap, which is usually a 1 - 2 hour window. Think there are many of us parent DIYers. Best of luck getting some time.
16. I must build one of those Ezekiel's too. Sorry for not having posted recently, but have been busy making pedals :-) Since my last post I've managed to complete 2 RAT's, Colorsound Bass Fuzz, Big Muff (never got round to putting the clean blend in it), Dyna Comp, Keeley 4 Knob Comp, Zen Drive, Red Llama, Sparkle Drive, Tubescreamer, A couple of utility boxes and today I finished a Greedtone OD. I'm addicted!

Bought a couple of "broken" Crybaby Wahs from Mark. Easy deal and Mark has been an excellent seller promptly responding to my PM's throughout the deal. Cheers again Chris
18. Great amp, still probably the best sounding amp I have ever owned. Sadly I don't anymore. If I were a richer man I'd have your arm off! Good luck with the sale,
19. I like it! Good job sir. Need to get a few other builds out if the way and this will get built soon. Sounds like its got plenty of bottom as it is so I think I'll build it stock also.
20. I've been wanting to build a clone of this too, even got hold of 2N5306 / BC169B's to do so. Did you build it on vero or PCB? any mods for bass? The Coloursound BF is a beast, one of my favourites.
21. Just bumping this up, any ideas anyone?
22. That is superb, much obliged. I will let you know how I get on.
