Good point, here are some pics. I’m not abusing it particularly, but it does get gigged regularly. As you can see from the pics the ear just falls out of the shaft which looks badly corroded? This has happened twice now. I also managed to break one of the tuners when the bass fell over. Remarkably I found a guy selling just the neck and tuners from a TMB 30 which I bought for spares. I’ve now only got one left so need a decent replacement hence the post.

Yeah, I had one for a while and sold it here on this forum. It was a decent bass with active passive pull pot on the volume. Seymour Duncan pickups and a decent preamp. All in all a good instrument although a little on the heavy side.

Does anyone know what tuners would retrofit in an Ibanez Talman TMB 30 bass. Love the bass, but the tuners keep falling apart on me. This is a cheap bass so I don’t mind putting something decent on there, but don’t want to be drilling or filling old screw holes etc.

I really do think Fender are damned of they do and damned if they don't. They are in many ways cursed by having the 2 if not 3 most popular (and well used) bass designs ever! P,J, T. Like many of us on here, I spend most of my time playing a P bass and when I'm not I'm sort of wishing I was. I say good on them for at least trying to offer something slightly different.

Bought a Boss GT1000 from Peter. I have only positive things to say as the whole process was a doddle. Unit was exactly as described, it arrived exactly when he said it would and was packaged superbly. Highly recommend!
