  1. You wouldnt happen to have a white aged pickguard about you Paul
  2. I think I saw them Paul but that was before I got this one...
  3. I wonder does anybody on here have a set of early Precision pickups that they are selling...
  4. I used Autosol metal polish, great stuff for stubborn stains
  5. It amazes me why a seller puts a vintage precision up for sale without giving it a good clean, I spent about an hour today and the difference is day and night all DNAremoved
  6. Think I will wait until I get it to see what its like in the flesh and take it from there...
  7. Love the Maple neck, that one has quite a bit of Lacquer worn off the fretboard. I wonder if the can be fixed up to look decent
  8. Yes it has been played and then some, I do like that wear on the poly finish though, certainly not a case queen 😏
  9. Yes good point, he does not seem too familiar with Basses judging by my questions to him but there is buyer protection with Ebay should it be the case if anything was suspect
  10. The pickups are not original, pots non original and the scratchplate also. All this admitted by the seller on the phone to me, is it worth £1500 as it is
  11. Any thoughts on this this one for sale on the Bay
  12. Ive had some he had and then some ...😅
  13. Thanks, I was wondering what the SCN was on the pickup covers...
  14. I bought this bass over 15 years ago and it has been tucked away for so long that I forgot all about it, the guy whom I bought it from never really played it and as such its in top class conditio bar a few minor dents pictured. The brass has tarnished over time but its an eighties classic MIJ, the woods used are beautiful The very top frets buzz a little and will need sorted but in the right hands it should not be a problem, I will include the very heavy case that came with it. Even the plastic protection on the back of the tuners is still on 18v active circuitry that can be switched to passive and a series/parallel switch
  15. Nice early 80's SQ Precision in black The pups have been changed out to Thumpers which sound much better, old ones dumped by previous owner Loom had been upgraded as well Some wear to the top frets but plenty of life in them Neck is nice and straight with a good action, no buzz Truss rod turns as it should weight is 4.2 Kg's Nut width 42mm Bridge upgraded to good quality Schaller Bass2000 fully adjustable, original will go with it Fitted with strap lock buttons In overall good condition with some dents and swirls here and there I dont know if the cover is original or not but it came with it Some dents to the back of the neck but ave been smoothed out so nice satin finish and fast I dont have a case for it but may have a foam type case for a bit extra but will be well packaged for transport Well respected basses and almost on a par with the JV but not as accurate but built to Fenedr specs of that era Any question please fire away
  16. It has 2 battery clips so 18v but can run on 9v if I remember correctly
  17. I bought a Power P Bass from Phil, smooth operation all the way...deal with confidence Thanks Phil 😎
