yes you can just about see it when it was sprayed red, such a pity to cover up that lovely grain

I bought this Yamaha SB1200s on Ebay before Christmas, a previous owner removed the stock pickups and replaced them with cheap ones, tuners were in bad shape but the body was in good overall condition despite the routing. So I striped it all down to the bare wood and oiled it with gunstock oil. New P an J pickups, new kiogan loom and it all turned out well.

I have purchased it now, its a MIT model.. Finally got my BB1100s today, its in near mint condition bar the 2 cracked knobs but I have to agree with @AndyTravis no difference to the MIJ model as I had one previously and I can't tell the difference..

I bought Del's Yamaha BB1100s, its was described as mint and it sure was, one of my favourite Yamahas, Great guy to deal with and smooth transaction all the way.Well packed in a proper guitar box. Thanks @elvis1984

Beautiful Maude, that will be a cracking looking Bass when it's finished. I will need to see my Guitar making friend who has all the necessary gear to do the route's and veneering...

I will definitely fill in the routes as it would be difficult to get anything to fit properly in there. Hmmm, liking the teal idea Andy....
