1. Booking gigs is a thankless task. I've been doing it for nearly 30 years (on and off). I now play in a very established local band but it's the slightly younger members that struggle with remembering to tell me when they can't gig. (often it's the G/F that decides this lol) I do have deps lined up but I'd always rather take the complete band out. Communication is the key. I do keep asking them, what dates can't you do etc.
2. Ian had a wanted ad, for some machine heads. I contacted him and he swiftly responded and did everything he said he would. Highly recommended, easy transaction. Nice one Ian cheers
3. a ha! He's been in touch and he's seems very helpful etc. I fancy a Fenderbird as I've got a gig coming up playing as a Who tribute

6. me too, I love rotosound strings. I use roto yellow 10s on all my guitars and swing bass rs66 on my basses, except my hofner which has la bella deep talking bass. I used to work in a music shop anf always found the rotosound team great. Anybody remember the Spacer strings. Different coloured silks and a black anodised finish, so they said,

21. I used to play fretless in a rock band and always used a flanger. I thought it sounded good but these days when I play anything (fretted or fretless) no effects come anywhere near me
22. Does anyone know Frank Adams from BEM, or any of the staff that worked there in the 1990s. Some of you may remember that I'm looking for a specific Jackson USA bass guitar, which I know BEM had it up for sale for ages, for £699. I've searched different forums and facebook for this bass but have, so far, drawn a blank
23. I used to have a white Scarab. Somewhere I may even have a picture. It was a lovely bass guitar. Really well made. Sold it many many years ago (27 I think)
24.
So you're saying there isn't a price you could name that would persuade you to let it go?
you got it. If my house was burning down, it's the only possession I would try and save.
