  1. I agree to all that's been written so far. Thanks to this site, I have a Pbass Special, a bass I've always wanted, in the colour I've always wanted. (I dont play it, of course, JMJ Mustang all the way lol) I've learnt about In Ear Monitoring, which wireless mic to buy etc etc. Lots of people here with good advice and easy to deal with sales and trades Keep it up chaps
  2. I used this lekato set up yesterday. I have a 5.8 on the guitar too. Latency wasn't a problem at all and it seemed to work really well. The receiver was nomore than 2 metres fro the transmitter at any point. No drop out and a good sound. I will try it on a band gig this weekend, where they will be slightly further apart.
  3. he played bass in a really good Thw Who tribute
  4. was that Craig Addecote by any chance? top bloke,
  5. I worked in a Canterbury shop and we custom ordered a 4000 in Battleship grey. It was an amazing colour it was 1990/91 IIRC
  6. I have a B205D you can try Chris. I'm not using it since I went IEM. I'm in River.
  7. I happily run my Ashdown RM500 evo II through a Markbass club 1x15. sounds good to me, for bigger gigs I add a MB 2x10 for more spread. I also have an Ashdown RM 4x10 that I use. I'm really not that bothered which cab I use
  8. I used to do my homework on a sunday night, after the charts, listening to her show
  9. a bit out of my depth here, perhaps my keyboard playing genius chap can help. it's a cool bit of kit
  10. I love a Gretsch me. That looks top drawer
  11. can this trigger sounds from a keyboard then?
  12. they do last a long time but sometimes get dislodged too. I might try your Lekato setup for my IEM
  13. wow that's amazing
  14. cool, thanks for that, I have tried my guitar one (on the IEMs) but it dropped out on a really big gig (during soundcheck) so I went back to a lead but the lekato was perfect on the guitar (weird) also on 5.8. I have used the guitar one very succesfully on quite a few gigs last year ( no drop out or anything)
  15. nice one JazzyJ, some great numbers there I've been doing 80s now for 5 years and you must put Vienna in your set, always goes down a storm near the end of the 2nd set usually I can get the whole place to sing AAAHHHHH VIENNA. you'll need an Aria SB of some description (if you can take the weight lol) There's couple in the for sale section you'll love it mate, great bass work in most of the 80s stuff
  16. i fancy the mi pro one too. would be great if thoman dd the 5.8 one
  17. this is what many of us are using. I have been for 18 months now, absolute game changer for me (especially as I sing lead vocals too)
  18. i thought it was the law to drink them both, it follows that thing other people say....'I had some leftover wine'...................WFT🤣
  19. save bottle 2 for the next evening........................................ really?..............................can you................................
  20. I had a scarab once. It played really nice but I never got on with the sound. I'd love to try it again now, now I understand things better (I'd only been playing about 7 years, I was gigging 4 times a week in those days but didn't really understand what made things sound different)
  21. I think you're wrong here. It was damaged during shipping. They cant be expected to unpack everything and check it, then put it back imto the box.
  22. yep good experience for me too. Bought a Korg electric piano. A piece was broken, I sent them a photo and the new piece was sent out from Korg.
  23. In the 90s i was in a band (classic rock covers mainly) with my older brother. We did 6 years and just over 600 gigs together. We had a right laugh (most of the time). We've reformed for a few special events over the years (namely important birthdays, a stag night) and always have fun
