When Bruce first joined they flew to Italy to do some gigs. My brother was in a band in Rome at the time called The Raff. He met Maiden at the airport and asked if they could support them, Sure they said and they opened for them in Padova and Milan. The B-side to The Number of the Beast was a Live version of Remember Tomorrow recorded at the those gigs IIRC I became quite a maiden fan at this point

yep me too, about 1988/89. Played to a few mates who travelled up to see us. Had a right laugh

I've still not plugged it in yet, but I've put the black pick guard on it. Looks fab The neck, though, WOW it's just so playable

I have 3 Vintage 6 string guitars. They are all extremely good. I will eventually pick up a P bass copy, should one appear locally

where I work, we have used DPD for a number of years. I don't think we've ever had a lost parcel with them.I have also shipped guitars and amps all over europe with no problem, using DPD. But since Brexit, we only use DHL, who are pretty rubbish to be honest and I won't be shipping any personal stuff now Still use DPD for uk shipping though and they are ok for that

I still have mine, bought new 9 years ago. Went wrong and was replaced and has been fine ever since. I love the sound but have since moved to Ashdown as I wanted to support a British company But I still have the Ampeg in my practice room. It has done a lot of gigs under my ownership

yep I still have my PF500. A great amp but I've switched to Ashdown now. RM500 evo II. I keep the Ampeg as a spare

I'll see what the one I've already bought is like, if it's no good I'll send it back

I'm putting together a bitsa Precision A recreation of a bass I first had in 1988. It was late 70s, schaller 3-D bridge , maple board, black/white/black pickguard question is, what pickguard should I buy. WD do one, about 40 quid. It's very good but seems a bit expensive ideas please good people

its happened I was a bit underwhelmed at first. For about 10 seconds but that neck! It's the closest profile to my 73 P bass I've played Might need a trussrod tweak but acoustically it sounds huge. I've not plugged it in yet, maybe tomorrow but I'll get some pics up in the morning defo needs the black pickguard, it will remind me of my first Fender, a late 70s Musicmaster bass Stock flats seems good right now though, back to the 2nd half of Swiss v france (and my red wine)

lol, I work for myself, family engineering business. I needed to do the wages today, so I can't go home till that's done. I have to pay my staff, it's only fair and as they all work hard here. (bet you don't hear that very often lol) I'll get away about 4 today, I'm quite looking forward to it

Had a viewing on my house on Saturday. Lovely chap with his wife. She is Italian and we all hit it off marvellously. She spots some of my guitars, oh he's a bass player. Me and him got chatting and I asked him about his playing. Jethro Tull, Take That, Gary Moore........ Only Jonanthan Noyce. What a terrific bloke and his Missus. He had a play on a couple of my basses and loved my '73 P bass and Ibanez MC940 fretless. Very small world as he has also played with a few of my mates including my keys player in my duo.
