  1. a slightly older audience, well behaved and I spoke to quite a few of them after. And a 10.35 finish. I'd go there to watch bands as it's a earlier start than most pubs
  2. This bass looks like a Precision Lyte
  3. In March this year I picked up a 1964 Hofner violin bass at Auction. I've never played a German one but do have a contempory. It has a wonderful neck, slim, not too shallow and comfortable. I'll probably gig it at some point. I just got a bee in my bonnet about wanting one. Same with the Harlet Benton PB-50. It actually has a great neck, really great since I rolled the fingerboard edges, sounds amazing too. Gigged in my Police tribute For me basses have to look cool, not too flashy (by which I mean, loads of knobs and sitches) and have 4 strings Any colour, I have all colours including a neon pink Brian May guitar
  4. What a great venue. played there last night with my Police trbute and with U2 Tribe. Staff were great and Sam the soundman was amazing. My IEM mix was superb. Can't wait to go back
  5. that's actually a really cool thong to be able to do
  6. Here's my 2 entries 1964 Hofner and 1973 P bass
  7. that's for another day I think
  8. cleared out a load of pictures from the archives, so I have some space back will look at compressing pictures going forward
  9. I'm no IT expert, so don't know any of this Thank you, it makes sense thank you
  10. I'm struggling to post pictures because the file sizes are too big. Is there a limit to how much can be posted please?
  11. Thankyou. Yes just about back to normal now
  12. I cant post either of mine as the files are too big and I dont know how to make them smaller '73 Pbass and '64 Hofner 500/1 (there's also a '67 SG Junior, late 50s Hofner Commitee acoustic too)
  13. I also had one made to this spec, white with Chrome. it was lovely serial number NB12679
  14. I bought a fretless neck from these guys, 10 years ago. It was fine and is still holding up today https://eyparts.com/ having just looked, the necks are hard to find but they are there
  15. I think that would have been Jonathan Noyce
  16. lol, yeah I did a few shows with my guitar amps in 2007/08. The noise!! Fun though
  17. Well it works I have no idea what I'm going to do with it Yet😂
  18. Agreed. Such a gentleman
  19. just turned up. Off work early today so should get a chance to have a play after I've walked the pooch
  20. ordered yesterday. fingers crossed
  21. Hi Brad, welcome. I love the ABC stuff. Chris T was a friend of mine, really great working with him. You've played some great stuff, on some great stuff
  22. my 80s duo has about a hundred songs. I switch them about a fair bit but since the keys player has been on shifts, we haven't learned anything new for about a year The 80s band though has the same set from its conception 4 years ago. We've added 3 or 4 more since then and can leave or add them in. Police tribute is pretty much the same songs learned when I started it 17 years ago. But it's more than 2 x 45 minuts sets, so can switch numbers in and out
  23. I have an almost immaculate P bass special from about 1981, I had this as my lounge bass but realised that I was starting to gouge ths one as well, so put it away. Good band name Gouged Out!!
  24. I wonder if the custom shop could replicate this bass of mine The wear under the G string is casued by my third finger digging in when I play with a pick (mostly I play with a pick) This bass has done a lot of gigs in its 34 years with me. The wood is actually gouged out, not just the finish It's actually a '73 not a'75 (I have the original bridge with the long screw for the G string intonation)
  25. when I was making guitar amps, I had a trade account with them. When testing new things on the amps, always put a fresh set on roto yellows on which ever guitars I was using. Had many sets of RS66 too. that was 18 ish years ago. Great strings
