1. It's astonishingly light. Can carry it one handed!
2. I bought one a few weeks ago. Loving it - only one gig so far but it sounded great. Need to properly roadtest it but preferring the tone to my old TC Electronics RH450. Shame about lack of footswitch etc but that's Markbass for you!
3. Great seller too, buy with confidence!
4. Snarky Puppy!
5. Yep, agreed. Just got one and it's super!
6. Totally agree! don't really listen to his stuff much despite owning a lot of it, but if there's one thing Vic does before anything, it's groove HARD! Have you heard "Hero" from his live in America CD? No flashy bass playing, but a beautiful song with impeccable bass groove.
7. Dammit! I drove to NI last month! Seriously! Via Stranraer. And I'm off there next month too, but flying and suspect Easyjet won't allow me to take it on board! Sorry!
8. Hi all Due to buying an expensive new amp I need to sell my much loved Tech Soundsystems cab. This is an absolute joy - first of all, 43lbs - SO light. Literally, you can carry this with one hand. 2 x12 speakers, 600watts and 4ohm so most amps can run at full power! I do large functions with this and it copes like a breeze. It's a decent size but not too big to fit into my saloon boot. Made in Germany, built like a tank, great condition save for a few cat hairs which I will roll off before it's bought! The handles on it are fantastic too - nice comfy rubberised plastic with grips on all four corners, so there are multiple ways you can carry it. Sounds like a small point but is extremely practical. Pics: Only £400 picked up - don't think I can realistically ship it. Might meet someone within a half hour's drive perhaps. For pickup I am in Chelmsford, Essex CM2 near A12 and J28 of M25. Sad to see this go but needs must =( Thanks, Mike
9. Hi all Selling my RH450 as I'm moving to tubes! This has been my longest running amp - light, portable and packed with features including a fabulous compressor, tubetone and a built in tuner (SO useful!). I'm sure everyone knows the spec on these but if you don't, click here! I have gigged with this amp and there are a few scratches and dings around but nothing major. I am including the optional footswitch which allows you to tune silently and select from three settings instantly. The only issue is that the volume knob has come a little loose inside the plastic pot and 0% volume is now at 5o'clock rather than 7o'clock - not really a big deal but I'm contacting TC to get a replacement pot - I'm told it is a simple pop on and replace job. Probably caused by constantly turning down - it's an extremely powerful, flexible amp for its size! Also, the gigbag I'm including is coming apart on one of the seams- this is the second bag to do this to me so clearly a design fault, but it still works fine. And if you're a bit handy with a needle and thread, fixable! Pics: Price is £499 shipped to the UK. I will knock a tenner off if you come pick it up, which I would prefer - CM2 Chelmsford, Essex (Near A12 and J28 M25). Price firm I'm afraid! Regards Mike
10. I'm friends with the one of the main people in the South East -this is a message she sent me when I asked if I should join - hope it helps! ------------------------------------------- Public liability cover up to ten million Instrument insurance unto 2000 Personal accident cover Tax investigation cover Legal advice Contract advice Rights protection Career and business advice Teaching services But (and probably more importantly).................... It's a trade union and there's so much good stuff going on that people don't know about! As a freelancer i like the idea of being connected to a wider community of like minded people. About 30,000 musicians from all areas of the industry. We have contact with the DCMS to try and get musicians rights and needs included in debates and consultations. This is really important as at some level this affects us all members or not. You know on a gig we sometimes have a moan about stuff and why is this or that not happening, why hasn't anyone thought about this idea or whatever..........well the chances are it probably is being thought about. And if it's not the MU has a democratic process so you can get your ideas and issues on the agenda. That's why I'm so involved. I like to be able to give a bit of my time to help try and change things, and represent people that do similar work to me and represent my area of the country. The more I'm involved the more important it becomes for me. I've just been at the MU delegate conference, and I can say that we are lucky to have some seriously brilliant people working for and representing the MU. 11. For most of my function work it's between £150-200 per person, normally 2 or 3 x 45mins.
12. I played one at bass merchant and it sounded so much nicer than my TC RH450. I tried it against other MB heads as well as GenzBenz and it came out on top.
13. Lovely bass and I can vouch for the seller - he's a fab guy. Wish I had some spare cash!
14. Wow. I've known Ben to be the ultimate Warwick aficionado for years - this is going to be a good one! If I could buy a Warwick from anyone it would be him! Good luck with the sale. I'm loving my 5string Streamer!
