1. A losing the will to live bump! Will knock £50 if someone picks it up!
2. Good luck....I'm selling an RV 5 Sadowsky Metro for £1150 and it's not shifting!
3.
In that case it is my old one. One of the best 5s I've played. The spacing is spot-on.
Agreed, it's magnificent. The only reason for sale is that the woody sound of an Ibanez SR5005E is suiting me better and has close string spacing for my little hands.
4. A big plus one to this - the blog is excellent, with loads of resources, exercises, transcriptions etc - I've already got loads I'm working on. Definitely check it out!
5. ahh, don't tempt me.........!
6. Awesome Wes!! I saw him play it a few weeks ago. Make me one too, chum!
7. Whoops! Could a mod move this to the correct forum please? Apologies
8. Hi there, I am selling a stool I have been using for playing double bass. It's extremely comfortable, around 28/29" high. Cream leather. Good condition, some light marking, especially round where the feet have been. Can't post of course, but I'm in Chelmsford, Essex CM2 close to the A12 and M25 J27. Only £30 for a nice piece of furniture!
9. Yarp!
10.
I am really tempted to start saving for this
G'wan! Still for sale, prefer uk sale, would like to hand this bass over in person ideally!
11. So tempted to offer my Sadowsky RV5!
12. PMs replied. Some interest but still available!
13.
I have to ask: is this my old one? I can't remember who bought it from me... If so, lovely bass. If not, er, lovely bass.
I bought it from a chap in London called Henry.
14.
Hi mate, what pickups are in that bass? Cheers
The regular Sadowsky humcancelling single coils
15. Hello! It might be worth putting "fretless" in the title as I suspect some people use the "search forum" button and look for things like "fretless" "ken smith" "sadowsky" etc so this ad might pass them by - just a thought. Good luck with the sale.
16. PM replied - still available What hard times we are living in! Will accept £1150 now
17. Cool...let me know if you want a BIN (through here) on the Goldsby!
18. Bump, still available, will ship within uk at buyer's cost, probably around £30/40 fully insured.
19. Couple of PMs replied on this.
20. Predator - if this has gone, drop me a line.
21.
well, i think you managed to scare him off.... how long did that take? a day or so? I remember a similar "welcome" when i joined.
Glad you're still about, made of sterner stuff clearly!
22. Interesting experiences as always. My thoughts and horrendous experiences at the bass cellar (and correspondingly good experiences with the Gallery) have been documented in this thread already. However, I haven't seen much mention of the bass merchant. I know they are in Essex (off the A12 from London) but recently I've been looking for a new bass around £1500ish - i had three visits to the bass merchant, trying the same bass, chatting with Darren, drinking coffee made by his daughter. Eventually I bought it at a price better than any online retailer. Please consider them along with the big guys in London. They really bend over backwards to help. And no, I'm not on commission!!
